Yeah, this guy was a little more hardcore than the Blindside kid. He was in prison for armed robbery and some scout discovered him there. Just a few years before The Longest Yard came out. Apparently the 70's were the glory days of prison sports. Now its just a bunch of guys lifting free weights and drawing racist tatoos on each other.

I looked it up. I never heard of him

Yeah, probably because his career kind of overlapped with Rickey Henderson and Tim Raines and they stole his thunder with all the base stealing.
