Wolfe played like a Denver Bronco. He gave it his all. He also made some of the funniest locker room quotes. I'd love to have the Autograph or the Selfie and even in coronavirus times - I'll take the handshake.

Unfortunately in Wolfe’s case Denver didn’t really want to spend $6 million on a guy who is pretty injury prone and on the backside of his career.

well so much for him waiting out . Good luck to him! I would not live in that City my guess his family will live in Denver and he will live half the year with them.

He might win a SB with them . I kind hope he does as long as we are not in the running our selves . Then he can sit on it and spin.

There are a lot of nice places around Maryland to live.

He loves his past he just bought a weight Room and some other stuff for his High School so he might enjoy being close to there.

I am sad to see him leave but wish him well. I hope he resigns in Denver to retire.

That would mean he wants to go into the hall of fame as a Bronco ... Not seeing it he was good but not HOF material .If he wins 2 more SB's maybe

Derek Wolfe is from Ohio. Baltimore is a Super Bowl contender. He can always stay im Denver after his career is over if he likes it. I don’t think players shy away from living/playing in Baltimore.

No he is not a hall of famer and he was a great Bronco. At one time early in his career he looked like he maybe flop. The 3-4 saved his career as a Bronco!

Honestly, I would say he was a good Bronco, not a great one. But I guess each has their own differentiation between good and great. Are there 50 more players in Broncos history better than Wolfe? Easily. So I can’t label him as great.

I would call him a "great Bronco", because he did everything on and off the field asked of him. I'd call him a very good player. Good seems like you aren't doing a guy like Wolfe justice. Great is probably over doing it. But there is a difference to me between calling him a "Great player", and a "Great Bronco" I don't think anyone is calling him a Hall of Famer.

He will go down as one of my favorite Broncos. As Scott said he did everything right while with the Broncos. He wasn't in trouble outside of football and it was easy to see the guy sacrificed everything while on the field. He was the fire of that defense and that will be greatly missed.

Our first pick of the 2012 draft. Played like a first round pick even though he was a 2nd rounder. Good luck in Baltimore, Derek. I'm sure he's gonna give his all, just hope he doesn't do well any time we play against him.

Who knows. Maybe he returns in 2021 for his goodbye tour. ;)

Trying to think of Broncos who have returned after leaving for other teams (Not just signing a one day contract and retiring)

Shannon Sharpe
Ian Gold
Tyrone Braxton (returned after playing for the Dolphins for one year... Dolphins barely used him but on special teams, came back to Denver and led the NFL in interceptions/moving to safety)
Keith Burns (returned to Denver 2 times after leaving)
Vane Johnson (Returned two times... This one was weird, traded to Vikings for Zimmerman, cut by Vikings, back to Denver. Signed with Chargers, but back to Denver... Never actually played a game for another team.)
Ryan Harris (Came back and started in Super Bowl 50 for us)
Tatum Bell (Came back late one year with a lot of injuries at RB and ended up doing pretty darn well in his return, seemed this guy was best as a Bronco home run hitter)
Corey Nelson ( A little less noticeable)
Kyle Peko (A little less noticeable)
Brock Osweiler (A little less noticeable)

Byron Chamberlain (Came back but did not make the team the season he returned to the team)

I know there are more.
