How do you quantify that? If Casey McGehee had struck out more, he might still be on an MLB roster. I know you don't want to discuss this, because it contradicts your argument and you can't handle that, but GIDP is far worse.

Maybe you can limit your scenario to a specific set of events, like maybe bases empty, fifth inning of a day game in mid-July. Probably on a Wednesday or Thursday. Then it would be the worst. Definitely.

Even though this wasn't the point being discussed let's briefly discuss it anyway.

If Derek Jeter had struck out half as often as he did, given league average fielding percentage how many more times would he have reached base on errors?

Using current rates you're looking at about 15 "extra" errors over his 20 year career (920 Ks become balls in play, .984 F% × 920 = 905.28 are fielded without error)

and how much does 15 extra On bases really affect the player?? at most that is 15 more runs... would 15 more runs change your thoughts about the player??

Plus your math is a little off since 20% of errors are after the hit errors(baserunning)

Here's the thing. Rock has already acknowledged that Derek Jeter has the 20th best offensive WAR in the history of the game, so whether Jeter struck out too much according to Rock really doesn't matter.

In a few years, Jeter will be a first ballot HOFer.

A more interesting question would be where would Derek Jeter be ranked out of all the HOF players... There i would say he is definitely bottom half and probably bottom 3rd or 4th...

What about fouling a ball of your foot, breaking a bone and going on the DL? Wouldn't that be worse? He not only fails at his job on that day, but for weeks to come.
