Plus the word that Yelich and Realmuto could be moved? I said a few years ago that the Marlins were in a shitty position. Not bad enough to draft high, not good enough to compete, no money for free agents, and a shitty farm system. You can take care of 2 of those problems by selling high on these guys, but no one is offering you A+ packages when you are just dumping guys who now don't want to be there. This should have been a drawn out process where they wait for the best package and rebuild their farm through trades and the draft. Obviously the new ownership shouldn't be getting all the blame, they are trying to play catch up from the last owner's mistakes. But I still think they are going about this the wrong way.
Yeah, hard to argue, Ozuna, Realmuto and Yelich should be the centerpieces in the rebuilding process, whether as part of the team, or in what they bring back
Even the Stanton thing could have been played better, not being so open about needing to dump him, and creating some "Maybe we will, Maybe we wont" type buzz
