ATL, if La Canfora's article is to be believed, the Browns actual FO valued the QB's in this order: Carr, Bridgewater and then Manziel. It deeply implies Haslam is Manziel's backer, that's scary in more than one way for Cleveland fans.

It may be the most dysfunctional franchise in North American sports right now.

Maybe instead of keeping the name they should have kept Ozzie

I thought they made great progress too. I say fuck Manziel and stick with Hoyer (former backup for Brady). They have good back. I say sign or draft WR first with that Gordon situation. Good luck.

Could have had Sammy Watkins..but oh well....

The saddist statement about the team is Bernie Fucking Kosar is the best QB they ever had. Old man Brown himself must have slept with the Gods of footballs' wife.

I suspect some fans here don't even know who Paul Brown was. They have no idea that the Browns were once a great franchise.

That said, it's probably true that Kosar and Brian Sipe were the best browns QBs of my lifetime, and that's not a great thing. The glory days of the Browns were so long ago, in the 1950s, that almost everyone who actually experienced them is dead. Since then...pretty rough. LA Clippers rough.

:L...that's not correct

A little Otto Graham history lesson: Browns QB from 1946-55. His career started in the old AAFC where he had a 47-4-3 record as a starter & won 4 titles. The Browns moved to the NFL in 1950. Winning it all in 1950, '54 & '55. From 1950-55 Graham led the Browns to a 57-13-1 record. Also w/ Automatic Otto as QB of the Browns they played for the NFL Championship all 6 years, going 3-3. His career record as a starting QB was 104-17-4.

It's more than believable...let's go ahead and say probable.

Maybe it slipped by me, but I didn't hear any GMs (that would talk publicly) say that JM was a 1st round talent...I hate when guys don't put their names on comments, but there were reports stating several unidentified GMs thought he was a 3rd or 4th round talent, but would probably go in the 2nd round because of his college career.

I loved his game in college...just didn't see it translating to the NFL.

OAK might be right up there with CLE, but I really think both are not far off from being a decent franchise.

But, hey, as the tourism video says, "it could be worse. At least [you]'re not Detroit."

He had one good year, 1980 when he was League MVP. Other than that his career record was just 57-55.

LOL....NO SHIT!

I'd even give a shout out to Dr. Frank Ryan

His 7 years as the Browns QB ('62-'68) he led them to a 52-22-2 record & won the NFL Championship in '64.

Yes Sir....those were some kick butt teams.
I feel in love with Warfield and can still see Gary Collins catching TD's in the corner of the end zone.
LeeRoy Kelly filled in rather nicely after brown decided to go make movies.
1968, 1969...Cowboy killers when Dallas thought GB was their only obstacle.

Yep, some of those Browns team way back in the day were loaded. Hey gotta NFL trivia question for you...who is the only OL to clear the way for 3 different HOF RB's? Hint: this OL is also in the HOF.

I'm going to assume he was a Brown and not the most obvious.
