Yeah, DRC got a pick-six on the second fourth quarter INT, which also featured three three-and-outs. The defense won the game and I think that they are poised to come out and kick some ass down the stretch. We shall see.

Denver defense awake lol, boy I've heard it all. Denver is just like KC.... a crap team that hasn't played anyone. God I hope my Hawks if they do get to the SBOWL faces one of these crap teams and not the Pats, Colts, or Bengals.

Perhaps you are right. Then again, perhaps you don't know what you're talking about.

Personally, I think that RG3 is a pretty good player who had been rounding into form the past couple of weeks and who also has some pretty decent weapons in his offense. Denver's defense, however, limited Washington's offense to 266 yards on 70 plays and, more importantly, only fourteen points, while itself scoring a TD, taking the ball away five times, and recording three sacks while pretty consistently pressuring RG3 all day.

The remark about Denver not having played anyone and the Seahawks perhaps getting to the SB is similarly lame. The only common opponent the two teams have played is Indy. Denver and Seattle both lost by six points, though that is not the point, which is that the Denver defense looks as if it's rounding into form. Any chance that getting Von Miller back on the field has anything to do with that? We shall see.

Lol. Rare it is that chiefs and Bronco fans agree, but we do here. Starting to look pretty good IMO. Good luck in the coming weeks...:suds:

i wouldn't say that from one game, especially one game against RGKnee, but i'm not a desperate Broncos fan.

Eh, he just called it like he saw it. Guess you mean if it becomes a trend, though. Which is what any good NFL fan would look for...

yea, to be good you have to be consistently good, the Denver offense has been consistently good too bad the Denver defense hasn't. I understand being optimistic but one good game isn't enough.

I'm not claiming that the Denver defense has turned over night into the '85 Bears. Last week against the Colts, which was Miller's first game of the year, the Broncos showed some improvement on defense, though they gave up too many plays in the end. Yesterday, in my opinion, the Denver defense followed that up with a much more consistently strong effort throughout the game. Is that a trend that will continue? I think it is likely. We shall see.

i watched both of those games and the defense wasn't as impressive as you're making them out to be. you lost to Indy so obviously the defense didn't ply well enough and like i said you went up against a weak WASH team who offense is based on running the ball. When the Skins got down and had to pass they sucked, and that had more to do with RG3 than the Denver defense. I mean he missed wide open receivers, threw passes behind receivers, etc. Sorry i see Denver as a lower end defense, the good news is your offense can over come your defense.

So those errant passes were because RGIII can't pass or could it have been the fact that he was under pressure most of the game? He was held to his worst quarterback rating of his NFL career yesterday so to say it was because the Redskins offense sucked (even though they are ranked 4th in the NFL) instead of the Broncos defense actually played well is just as subjective as saying the Broncos defense has now turned the corner.

Now is it a coincidence that the Broncos finally had all but 1 starter (Champ is still out) finally on the field all at the same time and the Broncos actually show they have a competent defense? With pretty much the same group as they had last year (finished I think 3rd overall on defense) they finally showed up. Now will this continue that remains to be seen but I would think they stand a chance to be closer to what they were yesterday the rest of the season compared to what they were the last few weeks barring injury of course.

Also not like they play a lot of great offenses the rest of the season. In terms of points per game on offense the top team they play in San Diego who averages 24 points per game. The fact that the Broncos lowest score of the season is 33 I like their chances in all of those games.

While I'll agree that Denver's defense looked a little better yesterday against a 2 win team at home, and will agree that Denver is a lock playoff team, you're making some blanket statements with those stats.

Baltimore - 21.4 avg pts/game, 27 against Denver
NYG - 17.6 avg pts/game, 23 against Denver
Oakland - 18.0 avg pts/game, 21 against Denver
Philly - 22.0 avg pts/game, 20 against Denver
Dallas - 28.8 avg pts/game, 48 against Denver
Jacksonville -10.8 avg pts/game, 19 against Denver
Indianapolis - 26.7 avg pts/game, 39 against Denver
Washington - 24.7 avg pts/game, 21 against Denver

6 of 8 Denver opponents have scored higher than their average against Denver. Opponents average 21.3 ppg, 27.3 ppg against Denver. So making an assumption that Denver's opponents will score their average is a HUGE assumption.

I'm sure that's an interesting post, but I didn't bother reading it. I will, however, be paying close attention when Denver visits SD in two weeks. :suds:

You are also looking at all those games through the idea that the players we have on the field now are the same players that played in those games. You are making a blanket statement in assuming that even though Von Miller, Ayers, Woodyard, and eventually Champ are back that they are going to be the same defense they were before. Most of those games were played with all of those guys missing and that is a lot of production to be gone off the field. Yesterday was a great showing of what this defense can do with Von Miller and Woodyard especially back on the field in getting that pressure on a quarterback and forcing turnovers.

What am I denying? Denver will play at SD in two weeks. We will then see whether they are able to string together two stellar defensive games. Some probably know more about that subject than others.
