Always in for a treat when Philip Rivers is on the field.

Chargers coming off a nice win... Very injury riddled team right now, but never easy to win in San Diego.

I just want a game where we put it away early in the 4th quarter.

Chargers have to be among the most disappointing teams in the league. With their injuries and basically just playing out the season to collect their checks, this would be a major disappointment to lose there.

Unfortunately - beating the Broncos will make their season. I remember being a Bronco fan and thinking about winning games late in the season to teams that were headed to the playoffs.

Agree with the above two posts. Can't take them lightly. They hate us and coming off a win they have some momentum and we are coming off a emotional win. We now travel on the road. Gotta be up for this game. No letdown. Talent wise they don't match us anywhere close, but we will find out mentally if there are any setbacks or momentum going in for SD.

I'm going to be extremely disappointed if our defense doesn't completely dominate. Rivers is great, but he's got no one to throw to besides Gates and his line is absolute trash. Broncos should be swarming over him all game.

Offense needs to keep running the ball well (Chargers are 26th against the run), and go with the hot hand at running back (I thought they stuck with Hillman too long Sunday night when Anderson was clearly having the better game). The Chargers also struggle with the pass (they're 22nd and only have 6 interceptions) so Brock should find some openings. I want to see him continue to progress through his reads and learn when to throw the ball away so he doesn't take a huge sack that knocks the Broncos out of field goal range.

CJ is clearly better running in this scheme, and Sd is suspect. We should be able to pound them into oblivion, but they always play us tough for the most part

Look for more blue and orange in the stands and a Broncos victory over the Chargers. I feel like this game will be very close with the good guys coming out on top.

It will also help Brock if his wrs ( DT ) remember the basic ( come back to the ball ) and don`t just stand there and let the Db make up the ground. Oh crap just remembered, it was prob cause of Ma and GranMa why he looked out of it ;)

Didn't want to start a whole new thread for this but the "Buzz" in Denver is the Broncos have decided barring some injury or crazy downfall of Osweiler that they have decided to go with him for the remainder of the season. I have a hard time seeing the team actually publicly say this as they have worked so hard to protect Peyton's reputation so not sure why they would switch from that narrative now. I would love to see Osweiler get that chance though. He has definitely earned a few more starts with his play through the first 2 weeks of his starting career.

Just read an article on Wade Phillips. I would highly recommend it. Gives you some nice background into his history and life and just the type of coach he is. One of my favorite parts was that there were times that a player would turn on some music in the lockerroom which I guess Kubiak is not a fan of but the players do it anyway and Wade would come out of his office with a serious look walk up to the player playing the music and just all of a sudden burst into dance. The players really do love this guy.

Anyway here is the article if you want to read it...

Official word states that Broncos have made no decision on the QB situation beyond this week.

Like I said I doubt the Broncos "IF" they have internally made this decision to actually say it publicly. They have done everything possible to protect the legend of Peyton Manning as they respect the heck out of the guy. I can however see internal discussions this week after knocking off the world champs the way the team did that they would start to lean towards the idea that Osweiler is the starter from here on out. The entire offense just looks so much better with him in the game. Heck I think we are even starting to hear players speak a little more towards the idea of Osweiler being in on a longer basis. Before our first game most were saying "This is Manning's team when he is healthy" where now it is more focused towards just how much they are loving what they are seeing from Osweiler and the RB's speaking to how much easier it is to run from under center.

Thanks for posting. I enjoyed that article. Of course Wade is bad assed. After all, he is both a Houston Cougar and a Denver Bronco.

Particularly enjoyed this quote from Ware in response to Phillips informing his team that he dedicated the Lions game to his dad:

""That was big for us," said Broncos defensive end DeMarcus Ware, who also played for Phillips in Dallas in 2008 when he had 20 sacks. "We knew how much passion he had and what that meant to him. That put even more importance of that game on us, and also to make sure we're on board with him, let him know, 'You're not just a coach; we're on board with you, and we're going to give you all we've got.""

This is as it should be. Not only is Osweiler a better fit for our offense, at this point he's a better quarterback.

So great news at Dove Valley today as DeMarcus Ware practiced for the first time in 3 weeks. Even Evan Mathis was able to practice today. Usually the team has had him sitting out Wednesday and many times Thursday practices to heal up his ankle so another sign that he did not have any kind of set back.

Players who did not practice though include Vasquez, Williams, and Ward. All were expected to be that way though. No idea on how long they are expected to be out.

Interesting stat of the day in the Broncos have had 5 times where one of their RB's went for over 100 yards. On 4 of those occasions the RB to get 100 yards is not the one that started the game.

Just watched a video from practice today and of course the video happens to be DT working on come back routes where he actually finishes off the route coming back to the ball. I'm thinking the coaches sat him down and showed him the tape and told him "this is unacceptable. You have to help your young QB out and come back and get that ball." My guess is he is honestly used to Peyton where he is usually turning around and the ball is right there. Osweiler doesn't quite have that type of timing down with him so that half second that it isn't being released is just not fitting well with DT. He is just not used to having to come back a ton because of the timing. I would say same thing with the End Zone throw in he is probably used to Peyton putting a little more air on the pass where he then finds the ball and goes and gets it instead of a rocket pass to get it in to a tight window. Just have to work on the timing and understanding of what each expects.

That is good on Ware. I had read a report saying he might be back in week 15 last week.
