Matt Stafford being questionable certainly isn't bad news. To hell with that "No excuses I want to beat their best team." Hope Stafford is okay but if he isn't I'm not going to fret facing a backup. I don't recall any Seahawks fans following their super bowl win say, "Yeah, but it just doesn't seem right. They had so many injuries." Not a one felt that way. Not a one. And so if Stafford is unable to go against the Broncos that's fine with me. Should the Broncos win, the win will count the same in the final season record with or without Stafford starting for the Lions.

Look nobody here is blind to the fact that Manning at this point so far has looked more comfortable and been more effective in the shotgun, etc and the run game for the most part has struggled but unless your just satisfied with Denver winning the division, which they could still probably do, and be one and done in playoffs or if they did get lucky enough to make it to SB and actually compete without a at least decent running game then all the power to you. Denver's only hope to get to the big game and compete with a healthy- ish Manning, is to get this run game and Manning to get better acclimated with Kubicks system or it's all she wrote. As good as this D is, there's no way they can bail out a One dimensional offense like your suggesting if they want to be winning games in November and December.

I'm not satisfied with a one and done playoff run. Look, Denver barely got past a Ravens team that was lit up by OAKLAND and barely beat a KC team that turned the ball over 5 times. If our Offense doesn't start producing, there will be no playoffs this year and if we can't find a way to keep Manning off the turf, he won't make it past mid season.

I'm saying don't reinvent the wheel. You have a capable QB and an excellent Defense. Changes from the Fox run program are needed, but not enough to take away the role of Manning.

Injuries are definitely a part of the game. The Broncos lost their starting LT but I don't see anybody feeling sorry for us. We lost our 3rd round pick first practice and from the sound of it the Broncos had some huge plans for him this season. We have honestly been pretty fortunate so far injury wise but every team has guys banged up even this early in the season. I definitely won't feel bad for the Broncos winning if Stafford isn't 100% or is not in the game. Nobody cared when Manning wasn't 100%. They still enjoyed those victories and I would definitely enjoy this one if we are fortunate to have one.

Hey wing I get ya but to undermine those wins over Ravens and Chiefs is ludicrous. Both those teams are sure to be in playoff hunt come Dec barring anymore crucial injuries. That said, if you think Mannings been on the turf to much so far, if they don't establish a good balance here soon, he's going to be done by wknd 6. Look I understand the frustration with the offense so far but the fact is,if they don't adjust, they don't survive with Manning anyway.

This is for you Draft Crazy! Your boy Brandon Marshall was wired for the game on Thursday. Here is the clips they put together. The two things that stuck out to me is him talking to Trevathan that even though the defense was playing great they still were not satisfied with the play they had especially with getting off their blocks. The next was him talking to his teammates about Charles carrying the ball loose and letting them know they need to go for it.

TRAP GAME.

Det looking 0-4 squarely in the mouth if they don't get this win. Denver 2nd road home opener in a row. Big win against a AFCW rival again in their home opener. Now if Stafford is banged up, all bets off

To me it looks like it could be the STL Rams game from 2014. Offense stymied, no running game and the D gives up a few big plays. or not.

Rams was a much different matchup in terms of the physicality of their D against our O, but like I said before I do not like playing an 0-2 Lions team on the road. They are ready to eat!

Detroit just doesn't look very good. Stafford seems pretty shaken, and the OL doesn't look like it has the ability to protect him. The run game is pretty poor, and the defense is looking like losing Suh, and Fairley has hurt more than they anticipated.

I think Detroit is certainly capable, and talented enough to beat Denver, but this is a QB's league. If Stafford isn't 100%, the Lions are more likely to get blown out at home than to win. I'm hoping for the best with the Lions, but expecting the worst. The life of a Detroit Lions fan!

If the first 2 weeks are any indicator of the NFL season to come, then anyone could win this game. Vikes looked awful against San Fran week 1 then punched Detroit in the face. Ravens D played Denver to a draw in week 1 then turns into a sieve playing Oakland. Rams, Miami, J-ville, ect ect.

I'm going to believe Denver gets the offense cranking a bit and wins 27-16

Exactly!

NFL, no easy prediction anymore. Every game makes me nervous. Especially in the first half of the season.

Stafford one of those qbs that if you get in his face early, he never seems to recover. If he gets time and gets in a rhythm he can carve ya up. I expect that Denver D to come at him quick and often. He's already pretty banged up and he should fold pretty easy if that happens. I have more confidence in this D being fired up and aggressive every game more so now than I've been since the Crush.

Hey thanks for coming over to the board. Question for you would you being willing or any other Detroit fan to do a "ask the enemy" type post. What I mean is Bronco fans ask you questions about your team as honestly I and I'm sure others don't know a whole heck of a lot about your team.

I hear ya man - I'm hoping the team spirit plays out a little differently in this game under Kubiak than it did recently under Fox.

He did get more yards than one would like, however, it was more than balanced out by the turnovers we got from him.

Good point. Certainly don't wish that Charles had gotten fewer touches.

Years past I would agree with you. This team is different, complacency is not in the vocabulary
