Demps is out

and Blount is in.

Traded a speedster and 7th rounder for a bulldozer.
Demps wants to continue his track career and not be a return specialist for the Pats, Welcome aboard Leaon Washington and LeGarrette Blount.
Seems like a good trade to me.

I like it. Demps' commitment wasn't so hot, and he wasn't that different of a player from Shane Vereen or Leon Washington anyway, faster, but basically an open field kind of back. Blount is almost 30 lbs heavier than any other RB on the roster, and gives them a heavier, more physical presence.

The Pats are becoming like the Yankees. They have so much talent, one must hate them.

Blount will be the short yardage goal line back, the crazy thing is he has the potential to unleash that big play potential. Hes not an every down back but i love the deal

I like Blount. He kind of faded out in Tampa bay, but I think he can still produce. Interesting to see demps still have trade value when he's made track his priority.

It's too bad demps didn't work out, though. That kind of speed is fun to watch.

true JDM fun to watch, but if hes not 100% on with the Pats he wouldnt fit in, it would be a distraction.. wish him the best but glad he went to the NFC

Demps didn't really have trade value - the 7th round pick was enough. The trade was about unloading Blount's salary, for the Bucs - they've got Darrelle Revis to play and Blount was passed on the depth chart.
