Like I said in my last post I hope ALL of these fuckers lose millions and I really hope that when they come back the fans stay away for 5 or 10 games and let these bastards play in front of empty arenas for a few games.

The fans are the boss but most of them are too dumb to realize it. Embarrass the bastards, don't buy their tickets, support the team shops, concessions, parking and so on. How cool would it be for the announcers to do a game on TV in a silent arena?

Oh and not support any companies that run adds during the game. I know it's a dream because like sheep most will go back and kiss their ass and they know it.

If there is no season...

contract void? Null? Free agent again?
We haven't actually PAID him anything, have we? (don't remember there being a signing bonus)

this is assuming there ever is an NHL again and if there is, there are still 30 teams left surviving if they ever play again, or if not, that Carolina may be one of the 10 surviving teams of course.

I've never found the definitive answer for this.
if they go the decertification route, then everyone is a UFA, but it will never get to that.
If we 'just' lose a season, then the players on two-way deals who are in the AHL definitely burn a year.
I'm not sure of the guys who are in Europe or just not playing. One of the TSN guys threw out the stat that more than 200 players are due to be free agents after this season (either UFA or RFA), which leads to the thought that maybe everyone burns a year.

in summary - I know for a few guys, but not for the rest.

I'm pretty sure that guys on their first year of entry level deals won't lose a year because you have to play 10 NHL games in order to burn that year. As far the rest, I think they pretty much burn a year, thus I believe Semin would re-enter the free agent pool if we don't play NHL hockey this season.

those guys are CHL or NCAA, so their contract clock doesn't start until they get to AHL or NHL (or a "pro" league anyways) anyways.
