Series Thread: DBacks vs Giants

6 straight losses. 9.5 games behind the first place Dodgers. 7 games out of the second wild card spot. Hate to be a pessimist but I will go out on a limb and say this season is finished. The way this team has responded since reaching .500 has been nothing short of horrendous. The team just lacks talent. A few very nice pieces in Goldschmidt and the outfielders, but outside of that, pretty much nothing. You cannot win if you do not have consistent pitching. Teams have been proving that for decades. Not much else to say. I hope I am wrong and the team turns it around but who knows what will happen.

The showed little to no fight in these last few games. I hope that is not more off what is to come but I am not holding my breath.

Hale always taking out who's hot, like Peralta today is just managerial idiocy.

Season is over. The true colors we all knew they had are showing. I'm sure management will tout this season as some sort of "improvement", but this team is no better off than they were last year. Rubby is the new Brandon McCarthy (Garbage). Hellickson is the 2015 Cahill (crap). Collmenter and Chase Anderson both took a step backwards so far.

Mike Bolsinger has made gigantic strides in 2015, but, of course, he's no longer a D-back.

I never thought I'd miss Wade Miley.

Mike Bolsinger has won 1 of his last 10 starts, and has looked average at best in those 3 losses and 6 ND's. Lately he's looking pretty bad.

Hellickson is 5-2 with 3 ND's in his last 10. In the two losses, one of them he only gave up 2 ERs. That is way better than Cahill.

My favorite was having Nick Ahmed bat lead-off multiple times. Still waiting for his OBP to get above .300. He's got lead-off man written all over him.

And, fine, Hellickson is better than Cahill. But he still sucks.

I wouldn't say he sucks. He's just not a 1 or 2 SP of which we don't have. He's more like a 4 or 5.

What a terrible start to the 2nd half of the season. This just solidifies that we are sellers. Might as well get the ball rolling now before the market gets flooded with desperate sellers. Hellickson, Hill, Pennington, Perez, Reed, & one of Peralta or Inciarte all need to be sold for prospects.

The season was packed after getting swept by the Giants. The second half will be the D-backs regressing to their mean, which is approximately "sucks".
