It would be very idiotic to join the Big 12 when it is possible a very large pay day is coming in 2017 with the Big Ten.

Not to mention, it would just be idiotic to join that chaos.

Big 10 and Big 12 should get a 2nd tier bowl going. Like #3's from each conference. That there is no bowl tie-in between the two is stupid.

HELL NO on going back to an instable Big 12, tho. No P5 would ever join them. They are stuck with bringing in mid-majors or remaining at 10.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Oklahoma or Kansas bolt in the future.

I'm just wondering what Nebraska fans are complaining about with the B1G. Obviously conference scheduling is not super exciting, but from here on out we will get UW and Iowa every year. I think both of those hold some significance. More often than not, we will get at least one of Michigan, MSU, OSU, and Penn State, which are the other big names in the conference. I really don't see it as being much worse than playing Kansas, K-State, Iowa State, Mizzou and Colorado every year, while getting one of Texas and Oklahoma every couple years. The only argument for that is that we've played them forever, but beating the tar out of Kansas just because we have done it for decades does not appeal to me.

Keep in mind these Conference Networks (Big 10, SEC, PAC) are too new to have yet seen their full revenue potential.

When they do, anybody other than Texas in the Big 12 will be sucking wind.

I also wonder who or what he fans he is referring to. Fans in Texas and Oklahoma maybe? I ask them at away games and when I am at games in Lincoln. I am also not very shy, and I just ask absolutely ANY random Nebraska fan. I would say my informal poll is 90% to 10%. This has been at games at Northwestern, Purdue, Iowa(not a Nebraska game), and Northwestern. When I visit Lincoln, I ask store clerks and restaurant workers.

I'd prefer to stay in the Big 10, the money and my hate for Texas being the main 2 reasons.

Now as far as people wanting to switch back, i can see that. Between KU, ISU, KSU, Colo, right there were easy road games to get to, 3 of those 4 are closer than the closest Big 10 opponent and Colo is probably only further than Iowa. Then you could get back the rivalry with OU.

Those would be the main reasons to me, but as others have said a lot of things would need to change.

All around, sport and academic wise, B!G is heads above Big 12. This is moot discussion. Can anyone point out one good reason to be in Big 12 vs B1G?
