Dareus also received a whopping 42 million at signing. Damn near half as much as Suh's 25 million.

But I won't play armchair GM and call it a bad move. The Bills have to do what they have to do to in hopes of competing w New England and Miami. Gotta keep your best drafted studs at any cost. Bills know that.

Meh. Pats let everyone walk (especially oin defense) except Brady. They are doing just fine.

FIFY

Putting the defending Super Bowl champs in the same sentence with a franchise that hasn't won a playoff game in 15 years is kind of silly.

I think you mean twice as much. Half as much as Suh would be 12.5 million.

I don't think DT isn't that horrible of a position to pay. Especially if they are elite at the position. Not only do you get a clog in the middle. You also get pressure up the middle which stunts the QB's ability to step up in the pocket.

It is much harder to bounce runs outside in the NFL because of the speed of the linebackers. A great DT forces them to do that. Along with the aforementioned pushing the pocket to not allow QB's to step into their throws. That in turn makes a QB have to go left or right into the open arms of the DE's. Bottom line, an elite DT makes the linebackers, DE's and DB's look a lot better.

Keep comparing the Lions to Seattle and New England, as if.

You didn't fix anything. Miami is taking great strides toward unseating the Pats and the Bills are doing what they can to keep up.

Lions and Bills were 1 and 2 vs the run in 2014. That's why Suh and Dareus got paid. That kind of production is what teams dream of. It's priceless.

What did the Lions do with the money "saved" by not paying Suh? Nothing. They're paying 12 million a year to someone else's garbage to sit on our sidelines and not practice.

Incorrect. Dareus actually received more guaranteed money than Suh.

Buffalo Bills sign Marcell Dareus to massive extension

Marcell Dareus gets $60 million guaranteed, most to non-QB in NFL

The $15.4 million average annual value of Dareus' contract is less than the $19 million per season that defensive tackle Ndamukong Suhwill receive from the Miami Dolphins over his six-year, $114 million deal signed in March. But Dareus will receive more guaranteed money than Suh, who received $59.96 million guaranteed from the Dolphins.

This was the key part that you glossed over:

"In hopes of competing with Miami"

Maybe you should give comedy a whirl- you're pretty funny sometimes.

The Dolphins actually have to do shit before any teams are concerned with competing with them. Sustained mediocrity isn't getting anyone scared of the mighty grey marine mammals.

I posted that. A whole 3.5 more a year, whoopee. That's nothing. Any thoughts on Dareus getting 42 million up front to Suh's 25?

I love how the Lions win 11 games, and all offseason all we hear is crap from you basically laying out why you're not impressed, and how much the Lions suck at everything.

Yet the Dolphins can't even sniff the playoffs, but because they bought a shiny new star player you're all over their shit.

Your true colors are showing again- you're a TMZ generation fan, all about the headlines and star players, but couldn't give a shit about actual football. Most of our wives fall into that same category, so maybe that will help us put your antics into better perspective going forward...

Dolphins swept the Bills last year. Bills hoping they can change that this year.

Stop trying to deflect attention by making shit up and putting words in people's mouths like you always do you tool. He was just making a blanket statement that didn't involve the Lions or the Seahawks.

For being Mr. Big Weightlifter Steroids Guy you sure have a helluva hard time manning up. But then again that probably explains the addiction to building show muscles...

Maybe in Crazyland, sure.

But in the real world, where the NFL games are played, everyone here knows you're full of shit.

Let's be completely clear on this one:

The Dolphins buying Suh was a publicity-based move, not a move made in the best interest of their product on the field.

Suh was brought in to boost Miami's image, help them sell merchandise, and to put asses in the seats. Paying a DT that much, and having to make so many upcoming sacrifices up and down the roster because of how much Suh is making, is simply not a savvy football move. But it was a good business decision.

A: The Lions were #1 against the run, not Ndamukong Suh. We filled his spot with an even better run defender, so it looks like we're pretty fucking smart getting even better run-stuffing production for a fraction of the cost.

The reality is that Suh and Dareus got paid because of their pass-rushing prowess. It's much harder to find interior pass rushers who dominate the way they do than it is to find top-shelf run stoppers. You should take a note and write that last part down, it's pretty basic stuff you probably want to learn so you stop looking so foolish when you're flapping you jibs like you tend to do. A lot.

B: I'm pretty sure we're paying Ngata $8.5 million this year, as the Ravens had to absorb the prorated bonus that was giving them such a high cap number on him. If you're going to constantly bitch and complain like a woman, at least try to know your shit. You get yourself so worked up over your own lies that it makes me wonder sometimes if you honestly forget that you're just making this shit up out of thin air?
