ok lets get one thing on the record here . The WP is a notoriously anti redskins and anti snyder for over a decade .

just watch , when the next HC gets hired and picks a players they dont like blah blah blah it will be a "snyder move " you heard it here 1st

wasnt cerratto GM when we could have drafted nelson ? wasnt he a consummate snyder yes man ?

you talk about us not looking at all the facts . well in 9 of those 15 years snyder backed away . 1 year shotty , 4 gibbs and 4 shanahans

spurrier didnt care about control and zorn was what we got stuck with and of course norv makes up the rest .

i dont care is RG3 had dinner with snyder at a chilli joint . you dont think brady and kraft dont go to socials in boston and see each other ? you think elway got his job because he climbed the gm ladder ? no he had a relationship with bowlen . you dont think manning talks to bowlen ? even goes to social events with him . i bet he did with irsay too

look snyder could very well go back to his old ways . not saying he wont but geez can we let this play out first before we go negative ? geez we havent made one transaction and you guys already know what is going to happen .

i dont know whats going to happen . it could be good or it could be bad but at least i will give the FO a chance before i bash .

I have lived in the Washington DC area for 50 years and they are not anti Redskin.

You have no proof that Snyder didn't meddle for 9 years. There numerous reports that say that isn't true.

The team has the 2nd most coaching changes in the NFL in the Snyder era.

The team is the top 5 worst records during the Snyder era.

Let's get one thing clear, if it smells like crap it is probably crap.

Still I hope with all my being that the changes about to be made will change the Redskins fortunes. I also reserve the right to be leery considering the teams history under Snyder.

jason reid and mike wise arent anti redskins ? JLC before him was as well as was kornheiser .

being leery i get but when does being leery enter the doom and gloom area? because what i get from you JY and shark is straight up textual suicide with no hope or faith that things will work out

allen is a mouth piece , we are hiring briles , Rg3 is evil because he has dinner with an owner

you know what i found out today that was interesting about whisenhunt ? if his qb (rivers ) didnt like a play it was out of the playbook . no fuss and no muss

but our qb says something like that and i get a lecture on the chain of command and the WP makes it into a CSI on game day

like i have said over and over snyder is a jerk . most likely he will always be a jerk but sooner or later even the bidwell's got it . it took the rooney's 40 years to "get it " what were the irsay's before manning ?

all changed

kornheiser started the bus, and it was great fun. Everyone here loved it. I'll grant you that the Post has been harder on the team in the Snyder era but hasn't the team deserved it. You can't expect them to write good things about a bad team. I don't know if you were ever stationed here dad, the Redskins were beloved here. No other sports team could hold a candle to them. This city is starved for a winning football team. Last year was great fun. I had not seen Redskin fans so happy for so long.

I think you are at least putting words in my mouth. I have continually said that I hope the new coach and GM will get the ship turned around. I still reserve the right to remember my history under the Snyder era and to be cautious. You can't just white wash everything Snyder has done, all we can do is hope things change.

Actually my previous post said with everyone answering to Allen and then Allen answering to Snyder that might be the best scenario.

Here's to hoping the team is much better this coming year.

Just read that article. Please make sure that you read it very carefully. Unlike most WP articles it is not 100% Snyder bashing. It is actually very objective.

If you read it carefully you will see that it makes good and bad points about Snyder. Contrary to the moronic comments you see under the story (typical) there are parts of the story that are actually pro Snyder - his commitment to charities, helping employees out with during tough times & his financial commitment to the team among others.

Sure - he has some major flaws - meddling, being somewhat negative, tough times for non-football personnel, etc. The point is that there are - as usual - two sides to the story. As per the article - you will rarely see a Redskins player - current or past say anything negative about him.

The bottom line is that - as mentioned many times - you can't change the owner. You also don't need a saint as an owner. Many of the owners of past SB championship teams - Davis, Frontiere, Jones, etc were flawed and not necessarily loved by the entire world. The key will be Snyder at at least backing off somewhat (as well as finding the right mix in the coaching staff). He appears to have given more power to Allen & others. Hopefully - he learns just a little more over the next several years - enough to let the team prosper more.

Unlike several folks here - I don't have the gloom & doom outlook for next season and beyond. The team has several positives in their favor. I will just wait & see what happens. HTTR

i've come to the conclusion the biggest failure Snyder has made as owner ... is ... drum roll ...

his unawareness (is that a word?) to offer Andy Reid a HC position

I don't believe that anyone said that he sucked - just that he was a game manager & his track record to date pretty much proves that to be the case. I give him props for last nt but that is one game & he has some weapons that would look good regardless of who was playing QB. If I were asked whether I would take Smith (even a younger version) for Cousins the answer would be "hell no".

LOL, I meant this for ehb because he and I debated it to some degree. I think the word I used is he sucked, not just a guy.

Anyhow ehb, if you read this the intention was a little good natured ribbing. :D
