Although I went on my little rant about blowing up the offense and I do mean that, the team is still in position to do some things. I am hoping a week and a half helps Colt. He will make some throws that Smith wouldn't. The running game has disappeared since Scherff went out. AP is starting to look like an older running back.

All that said the team needs to come together and try to finish the season off strong. Two plays where a pass of 10-12 yards turned into long TDs and the INT deep in our zone cost us the game or we were right in the game. Just need to sure things up. There is still something to play for.

Im not a big fan of Gruden but how can you fire him after all the injures that this team faced? If we stood healthy this is a winning team. If we end up at 9-7 would you still fire him?

I think his coaching is in part a reason for some of the injuries.

What? Can't blame Gruden for last night. Colt and this defense failed.

I agree. Gruden didn’t lose that game yesterday. However, after 5 years, its fair to question if Gruden has that killer instinct and can instill that in his team. Gruden has been here long enough to know what he is. A mediocre head coach. Which isn’t enough if we want to establish a perennial playoff team.

Frustrating game. Bad calls. Horrible tackling.

Colt looked good at times but horrible at others.

Still in the fight. We will see what this team is made of. I still have faith we can win the division.

I think y’all got the answer Smith vs colt. Those turnovers killed us along with defense. Hopefully with more snaps colt gets better, but I’m not holding my breath. Need to add the refs as well, they’re hard to beat!

one game wont give me any answer other then 2 qbs over age 32 means we have a qb issue .

colt hasnt had 1st team reps since OTas so i expected issues vs dallas . . and yes colt will turn it over more however i think we will get some big plays too

Not really. When Smith was winning, the defense wasn’t giving up 130 yards rushing and 31 points.

Now that doesn’t excuse how poorly colt played. Also, how picks did AS have his last game?

Fabian Moreau - It’s very clear this kid is just not ready for a starting roll. Moreau’s play has been up and down all season, with many more downs recently than ups. This game was the worst I’ve seen him yet (and that’s saying a lot). It’s a combination of untimely penalties, BAD tackling and POOR coverage.

I though Quinton Dunbar played VERY poorly, but he didn’t land on my Duds list for one reason - this kid was playing hurt, and it was VERY visible. I give him credit for trying to gut it out. Unfortunately, he got very little help from his defensive teammates

i was told by the ABC crowd that these 2 guys could step in and make up for the loss of fuller so far that assertion has proven false

All true, but we can all agree smith protects the ball better, which in turn helps the defense. The two interceptions smith threw last game cost the team as well. He just doesn’t do that as often as I expect colt will. Hopefully he doesn’t and on a second note this team is nowhere near good enough to overcome the liberal refs (yes I said it, it’s obvious) and I’m not blaming the loss completely on the refs, but it sure as hell didn’t help.

Colt will turn the ball over more than Smith. That is just a fact. But he is also going to give us a chance, especially if we fall behind. There is just not enough talent on this offense (especially after injuries) to overcome Smith's reluctance to throw the ball down the field. If he were still the QB against the Cowboys, we would have only scored 10 points or so. If course Dallas wouldn't have scored 31, either. But they still would have beat us due to our piss poor secondary tackling and ineffective ILBs against the run.

I'm a big Colt McCoy fan, I believe he will play really well the rest of the way. He didn't get any live practice with this being a short week. With extra time to prepare before his next start, I think he will be much better next time out. It would help(IMO) if Gruden would change his approach to fit his personnel the last five games. AP obviously had a little left in the tank. Go out and sign a FB, pound AP till the wheels fall off, and let Colt take some shots off play action.

I partly agree. Again there’s some passes though that our wrs and vd have dropped that would’ve been deep throws from smith there’s also some that if he were more accurate would’ve helped

Lol, you got the wrong post, but I’ll answer anyway. I have felt for years the skins get the short end of the stick from the media and refs due mostly in part to the owner and team name. The only ones who are offended by the name are liberals. Again it would help if the team was good eneugh to overcome the calls. Truth is, if anyone is lucky enough to beat the saints or rams this playoffs the other of the two will destroy you next game. I’d still like to see skins have that chance though. BTW, the libs hating on the name only makes my love for the team that much stronger.

Few positives dox seems to improve every game, might have something in Quinn as a punt returner/wr. Settle is making plays. We need to get back to running the ball maybe even try to work perine in some

Alex Smith takes care of the ball better than every QB in NFL history. He is also the biggest coward of all time.

Can’t argue, but with this team it seems to be needed
