if we could put his hustle into even 70% of our starters.

Just sucks for him he isnt a good football player. the heart was there.
Can you imagine if David Irving had Heaths mentality? But you are right. Heath ceiling is as a backup and even the new coaching staff figured that out. Heath is also supposed to be a great special teams player. The entire special teams was trash last season including Heath. The only special teams player that was adequate was Forbath. A new punter is needed as the one we got is overpaid and not good. Luckily McCarthy is here.

Interceptions are great, but when DBs get burned going for them they are killer. I'm more than good with guys like Jones who keep receptions and yards low
I think if we had better safeties the corners could be more aggressive in coverage. But yeah you bring up a good point. I never liked heath as a starter and I was done with him after he took that bad angle against the Jets and they scored that long TD

For me it was letting that slow ass goff run for a first in the playoff game.

He's 32, for $8-9 million a year, I would just as soon get a WR in the draft
Sanders has been a very productive receiver throughout his career but the draft is loaded with talented young receivers so I would agree with you.

Dix won't be much of an improvement as he avoids contact and is usually out of position. He wore out his welcome at Green Bay, Washington and Chicago.

Thats not true. He had a good season in Chicago and they paid their other safety

the safety play this coming year will be better than last.
Hard not to like McCoy & Clinton-Dix for 10M
It's easy not to like Dix. He is a safety that won't contribute in run support because he hates contact. I like McCoy much better.

I read in the Chicago Tribune that the coaching staff was unhappy with his contribution last season. He would have been re-signed if they liked him.

The most positive thing for 2020 is we have an accomplished head coach and a great coaching staff.

So...if the Cowboys had been happy with Byron Jones or Robert Quinns contributions they would have been resigned here?

I didn't read where the Cowboys downgraded their performances.

I respect your opinion but I disagree.

Did he sleep with your boyfriend or something?
You seem more adamant than normal about this guy.

Only because he's been with three different teams over the past two seasons.

NFL Network's Jane Slater reports the Cowboys "are closing in on a deal" with free agent DT Dontari Poe.
The former No. 11 overall pick of the 2012 draft has started 118 games for the Chiefs, Falcons and Panthers over the past eight seasons. Poe typically played a near every-down role prior to joining Carolina; it's unclear if his role in previous seasons is more indicative of his current skill or the scheme. At the very least, Poe remains a proven option in the interior that can be relied on against the pass and run alike

They were reporting this early yesterday. The delay is troublesome.

Is this from today or the incorrect/too early rumor from yesterday?
I'm hoping it's true :hope::hope::hope:

Funny, but when I read about how McCoy faired against the run it painted it like without him it was a sieve, but with him it was only 5 ypc. And we are signing another guy from that DLine?
