The answer as some tweeted in response is to run it right there. Dak doesn't do that much since his injury. He seems to have lost a step as a runner and it is affecting his game.

It's plays like that that are helping to get McCarthy so much heat. He ran another couple of plays in the game with a similar problem. One of them was with triple WRs to the offensive left and he had all 3 of them run slants at the same depth. I saw Chase Daniel and some other former QBs criticize his play designs for problems like that.

That’s why I alway’s say HOW you lose matters! Some say a loss is a loss no matter what, which is true, but I’d rather have my team battle until the end and have a shot win or lose, over getting blown out…
