Dak Prescott Arrested For DUI

I'd claim his decision making was the best from any QB maybe outside of Wentz who are listed as the top 10 QB's in this years draft. Wentz also didn't play against the top defenses in the country like Prescott did.

True...I guess it depends who you listened to as just about everybody was going crazy about Wentz at the Senior Bowl. To me if we get Kaepernick then it makes a ton of sense to get Prescott as his back up. They have similar styles of play and if Kaepernick were to go down with injury or struggle then we don't have to change up what type of offense we are running with Prescott coming in.

I'm about to go and watch a few more of Lynch's games. I keep seeing his name linked to us but the whole rumors of him not being able to read a defense really scares me. Have to go see if I can see him going through his progessions on plays.

Tebow is a very bad comparison to Dak.

I've seen it said before, but it is really bad comparison.

I've watched Dak most of his last two years as he was my fantasy stud college QB. After his JR year I'd have said he was a 5th,6th round prospect as a passer.

He improved his passing mechanics by 10 times this year.. He came along way. Was always a great runner,but he became a pretty good passer this year. He has some limitations and I don't eve see him being a "Star" QB, but I think he can be a good QB at the NFL level. He won't be ready to start as a rookie, but he is well above Tebow on mechanics.

So is my son on mechanics and he doesn't play football anymore. Well above Tebow isn't still saying much.

I just see way to many things that remind me of Tim Tebow. Not a fan of any QB that comes from Dan Mullen's system or Urban Meyer's who he got from Mullen at Utah. The only QB that has had a good career in the NFL under Mullen has been Alex Smith who I still see watching him has a hard time reading defenses. Drops the ball off to his RB's way to many times and early when there are wr's wide open. I guess Cam Newton at Auburn came from a spread offense of that type and has turned out to be a MVP caliber football player but under Kubiak's system in which he would not be in the shotgun as much and no designed runs I think Cam would struggle. Let's face it Cam won MVP due to his running abilities and play making abilities. He still has games where he throws around 50% completion percentage. I wouldn't call him a pocket passer and yet he still struggles reading defenses and makes to quick of decisions and forces the ball. He works for the system Carolina runs. For Dak I just don't know if he can handle taking the ball under center with play action passing and bootlegs that are the stable of a true Gary Kubiak offense and yet read a defense. It is very tough to teach a QB to read a defense and that's what makes Aaron Rodgers a HOF QB and Alex Smith not who was under a Dan Mullen offense in his college career. Kaepernick ran a spread offense as well at Nevada but under Jim Harbaugh I saw some improvement on reading defense and that's what I think he COULD be a good fit for Kubiak's offense. I know there aren't many pro style offenses in college football anymore but I'd rather see Denver draft someone that has taken numerous snaps from under center and doesn't just make one read and if it's not there then run. Yes Dak would be drafted later and wouldn't be as bad as the Tim Tebow pick but I'll stick to what I believe. Don't draft Badger RB's and stay away from drafting QB's under Dan Mullen or Urban Meyer. Ive watched so many Badger games and Dak and Tebow games and nothing has made me change my mind. All of you have valid points and I do respect them. Peace.

You don't have to be Peyton Manning to run the Kubiak offense - in fact, probably better with no Manning skills at reading defenses. Dak would be fine - but I don't care if they pick him or don't.

I`m not sold on any of the qbs in this draft. As far as I`m concerned, #6 has as much a shot as #1 to be a "good" qb in the nfl. If I was Denver I`d wait till third rd, play" pin the tail on the donkey", and go with that guy. Don`t waste a 1-2 on any of them. Draft a DL/OL/RB/LB in those rds.
