BigD sorry you asked me about the teams I root for yesterday, but the internet on my phone at work sucks.


1 UVA first saw Ralph Sampson on TV and thought there was a professional team in Virginia

2 Yankees grew up on stories about the Norfolk Tars...... Yankees minor league team in the 1940s

3 Penguins youth hockey team in the 70s in Virginia they were one of only about 4 NHL teams I could have named

4 Lions Blue and silver color scheme then got a 1978 Greg Landry card


Also being raised in an area of the country that doesn't have major league teams you tend to pick and choose.

As an 8 year old I didn't know the difference between pro and college. Dr J also played for the Squires and the dad from Good Times played football for the Norfolk Neptunes.

Hate to sound like a broken record but again, a Dodgers vs. Red Sox World Series would be the most exciting I can remember for several years. I'd also like it because I wouldn't hate either team. So many times when it's been the Angels, Yankees, Cards, Giants, I've had murderous hatred for one of the teams and that pretty much ruins it, especially when those teams always seem to win.
