As soon as people start really taking advantage of this?

This vote will change.

Imagine when someone loses in the semifinals and trades a stud or two to a team playing in the title game.

I hate this so much.

again, if non playoff teams actually win the trade... It will be fun...

but the playoff team should never win the trade.. even a fair trade is a win for the playoff team...

but yes, if the trade is the biggest reason another owner loses that week in the playoffs, it will be extra painful for that owner...

lucky for some that this is not a money league(not saying people are not equally invested)...

I highly doubt that happens.

Plus, you're implying collusion is bound to happen... I am confident that will never happen.

I am really trying to understand your perspective. It just doesn't make sense though. A fair trade, by definition, is fair. Including the one that happened...which didn't result in the playoff trade partner winning.

clearly, I have the unpopular opinion around here... but IMO, a fair market value trade, does not necessarily mean it is a fair trade at the moment...

but it is simple supply and demand...

That isn’t collusion.

We have made it perfectly legal to do this.

I lose in the semi finals and trade Kelce and Kupp (let’s pretend like Kupp has been decent) for a first round pick.

This rule doesn’t force anyone to make a decision about being in or out because teams can sell whenever they lose.

Supply and demand isn't restricted to a timeline.

His point is that demand should be higher for a team still playing.

So the price should also rise.

This case it didn’t.

Can we pretend Kelce didn't go off last week too? Or pretend like reality is still reality. Kupp has been non existent for a month. Kelce had the worst year of his career but finally had a good game last week.

I'd say kudos (or too bad so sad) to the guy taking that huge risk.

I'll stick with my October Kyren example. I have your 1st rounder from that deal with Chef.
You wanna give me Kyren for it?

Of all the owners in this league, you are the loudest about not giving anything up for a QB2. I'd argue Baker for a 1st is high demand and a good job by Harold, and a worthy sacrifice for Bar despite coming up short.

I traded my 1st, my second and Jerome Ford

But you are comparing apples and oranges. The problem isn’t the trade. It is that allowing people to trade after they have lost opens up unfair opportunities.

Baker isn’t a QB2 anymore

He was Harold’s 2nd best QB. Would be every week starter for half the teams in this league.

even if we want to ignore this trade... and say this was a good one,..

it definitely opened my eyes for the potential BAD trade in the playoffs... if not the finals...

Bad trades happen no matter what... at all times throughout the season... we all do it...

but what if a bad trade is the biggest reason for a team to win it all...

Again it is timing.

We will always be a pro trading league. That is never changing.

But a bad trade in October is not the same as a bad trade in late December when you know exactly what that player will is when it matter most.
