Adames and Green removed from the roster.
Get ready, here comes some more FZ approved transactions:
Mike Gerber and Ricardo Pinto dfa'd. Trevor Oaks, Keon Wong and Rico Garcia claimed off waivers.
Should we start some kind of bet on how long each of the 3 new guys last before they are dfa'd for another claim?![]()
Gerber was fantastic at AAA, but looked completely overwhelmed at the MLB level.
More fodder.

Wong might make Longo expendable.Wong and Garcia are pretty interesting.
I think it's conceivable that Wong and Dubon could platoon at 2nd base. Wong can also play at 3rd and the OF.

Maybe I over-spoke. I didn’t mean that he would equate to Longo, but rather fill the slot post-trade.Maybe... but I wouldn't go that far. It would more than likely turn into a Connor Joe scenario. Now if they did that and signed someone like Howie Kendrick, then I would be on board. You could mix-and-match all over the infield.
(That being said, I don't expect them to sign Howie Kendrick - why would he want to come here? Just spit-balling names)
Gerber is now a free agent and Pinto is headed to Korea - Giants' Mike Gerber Elects Free Agency; Ricardo Pinto To Sign With KBO ClubGet ready, here comes some more FZ approved transactions:

Both he and Bumgarner rejected their QOs, giving the Giants two extra picks at the end of the 2nd round. Will Smith signed a 3 year deal with the Braves
Vogt signs with Arizona
So, did the A's change their mind on him, not act fast enough or just got outbid?Damn, not only do we lose him but he goes to a rival.
Meanwhile, Anderson, Garcia, Pillar and Rickard were all non-tendered. I can only assume that FZ and company thought that they could more easily pass Anderson and Garcia off the 40 man roster, and retain them, through the non-tender process than the waiver process.Peralta and Dickerson avoid arbitration by signing 1-year deals.
