Well, he is young. That one is almost as bad as Barraclough. What in the world did he do to earn a call up?
At least, with Barraclough, the org can lean on the "he was once good at the big league level" argument. Franco has never pitched more than 1 game at AAA, let alone any MLB games, before 2019.Well, he is young.
Huh? He is 27? Oh...
Well, he had an impressive ERA in a tough hitters league...
Almost a 6.00? Seriously? Well...
That ERA is inflated. Look at his WHIP...
1.5. Wow.
Well, he has been in the org for years and earned the shot out of pure loyalty.
First year in the org? You have got to be fucking kidding me...
Bit of a stretch to call him OUR castoff. He was here a grand total of 48 minutes.Corban Joseph claimed by the Pirates. They seem to like out castoffs.
Well, I did say "out castoff", so there's that.Bit of a stretch to call him OUR castoff. He was here a grand total of 48 minutes.
Damn you!!Well, I did say "out castoff", so there's that.![]()
Updated.FZ claims Tyler Anderson from the Rox, cuts Barraclough.
Someone had to replace Barraclough . . . duh!Updated.
I will change the roster to the off-season format soon.
as for Anderson, why?

The Giants will obviously decline Sandovals option, but have they officially declined it yet?Tony Watson has accepted his player option.
Somewhat surprising since his base salary is $2.5m. Could say a lot about the free agent market too.
My understanding is that the Red Sox have to make the decision on Sandoval's option. I'm sure it will be declined. The Giants will obviously decline Sandovals option, but have they officially declined it yet?
Seems unusual to see a minor league deal have an option on it, but, then again, it may happen more often than I realize because I just don't hear about them that often.Apparently there was an option on Abad’s contract, and the Giants chose not to pick it up.
From sfgiants.com:Roster updated for the off season. Let me know if I erred or missed anything.
Zach Green also got dfa'd. Both he and Adames re-signed with the Giants on minor league deals.
