Pavs sheds light. Looks like it's under the injury category. Maybe Nunez has a concussion or something.
I was about to guess, from your previous post, that it would either be Gorkys or an injury.Pavs sheds light. Looks like it's under the injury category. Maybe Nunez has a concussion or something.
Orlando Calixte is being called up from AAA. I just mentioned this possibility last night in the Down on the Farm thread.
No corresponding move announced yet, but I can't think of anyone other than Arroyo or Gorkys.
Jon just confirmed on KNBR that he will probably be activated for tomorrow's game.
Calixtehe = who?
He certainly didn't get a long leash. Wish they would give him at least a solid month to play out. He's not some veteran cast off, give him a shot.
I basically agree, but he has looked awful, to be fair.He certainly didn't get a long leash. Wish they would give him at least a solid month to play out. He's not some veteran cast off, give him a shot.
So did Bryce Harper for much of last year. I'm not trying to say Mac is anything close to Harper, just that two weeks gives a solid enough time to really know what you've got in a player.I basically agree, but he has looked awful, to be fair.
I really want to see Slater, but I totally understand giving Calixte first dibbs.

Harper has an MVP history to fall back on. Mac has moderate minor league success and continued MLB failure to fall back on.So did Bryce Harper for much of last year. LOLI updated page 1 for you, Cal. Hope that's OK.

And just remember the 2B turnstile we had in '14 before Panik grabbed it by the balls.1,000 times this.
If Calixte goes down in flames, and why not under Bam Bam's careful instructions, then I'd love to see Slater come up.
Tomlinson didn't play in the bigs that year but, to finish your list, there was also Arias, Abreu and Adrianza.And just remember the 2B turnstile we had in '14 before Panik grabbed it by the balls.
Hicks, Ugla, Scutaro, Duffy, Tomlinson...
Maybe we will have a similar path with LF this year before Calixte/Slater/Shaw/Gomez/Mac/whomever takes it over.
But on this team, there give quite a bit of PT with no scratching and clawing (i.e. Hill, Hernandez, Morse, etc).Harper has an MVP history to fall back on. Mac has moderate minor league success and continued MLB failure to fall back on.
Again, I agree that he needs consistent PT, but MLB PT is a valuable commodity that is not simply given away without quite a bit of scratching and clawing.
Can't argue. But I think you have to use a bit of carrot/stick with the kids. Use the vets to fill in (the stick) while you pressure the kids to grab the carrot.But on this team, there give quite a bit of PT with no scratching and clawing (i.e. Hill, Hernandez, Morse, etc).
