Interesting. Wynns is hardly the world beater with the bat. I get that this is a minor league trade thus far, but given that Bart is being sent down, I cannot imagine that Wynns won't be activated for today's game. I would guess that Papierski is going to get dfa'd.Wynns was not on Philly’s 40, so it isn’t an auto given that he will be going to SF. Technically, right now, this is just a minor league trade.
so what we KNOW…
Bart down
That’s it…
I agree. Papierski just looked like a body. Nothing losing sleep over if he is lost.Interesting. Wynns is hardly the world beater with the bat. Weird to see him over Papierski.Padlo DFA'd
Meanwhile, Fairchild has been claimed by the Reds and Padlo has been claimed by the Mariners.Ramos up
Junis to the IL. (Expected to miss at least 3 weeks)
Yes. He is still young and the Giants have done him no favors with the yo-yoing between AAA and the bigs. However, there is the concern about his AAA performance thus far but its too early to get even close to writing him off.I'm losing patience with Ramos... Am I expecting too much too soon?
He was drafted as a HS senior, so it could considerably take him MUCH longer to get to the bigs than other prospects.Yes. I understand that. You expect top tier prospects to not struggle so much in AAA. It can be worrying. But there is a difference between the sheen dulling and giving up on him altogether. I that is what I interpreted pachyderm to mean.He was drafted as a HS senior, so it could considerably take him MUCH longer to get to the bigs than other prospects.
tbh, though, his prospect sheen has dulled a bit for me, but I still view him as a top-ish prospect.
There absolutely is a difference. The sheen dulling just means that I view him less a “can’t miss” or as a prospect with multiple all-star potential. My expectation is more along the lines of a #3 OF or there about. He COULD still be an all-star or MVP type player, but my expectations aren’t there anymore.I understand that. That would still make me sad, even if he's lost some luster. The return, in my opinion, should be sizeable. There absolutely is a difference. That does not mean I think his spot in the org is in trouble for next season. But I wouldn’t be SHOCKED at this point to see him packaged for a useable piece at the deadline.
And, he could/should be the centerpiece of any deal. That would still make me sad, even if he's lost some luster. The return, in my opinion, should be sizeable.
So he is technically with Sacto, but he is physically in Arizona, and must remain there for AT LEAST 7 days.I just found out that Joey Bart isn't even on the active roster for the RiverCats, he's on their developmental list. If you want to know what that means, click here.
