Jake McGee was up to 91 mph off a mound yesterday and felt no restrictions throwing on flat ground today. He’s excited about being active this weekend and getting an appearance under his belt to be ready for the postseason.

Palumbo has no options, so he is either on the roster or DFA’d. Harvey and Dean both have options.

Jay Jackson doesn't look like he'll be going anywhere this offseason, since he somehow had an option that the Giants picked up, along with Alvarez (a no brainer) and Flores (a bit surprising to me but not anyone else). Meanwhile, minor league free agent to be (pitcher) Yunior Marte's contract has been purchased.

The JJ thing looks to be a surprise to everyone. His name was never mentioned (that I can see) in previous lists of Giants options. And even still, why pick it up? It must be for VERY cheap.
