Anderson will not be added until tomorrow. I have not heard anything on today’s drop for Altherr.
With Kratz gone, the active roster is down to 24. I assumed Anderson was being added to the active roster today. So someone needs to be "injured" or optioned tomorrow.

The roster is only at 39 right now, no one needs to be removed for Anderson.

I wasn't referring to the 40 man roster. I assume that since Anderson is getting his contract purchased that he is also getting called up to be on the active roster. With Kratz gone and Altherr activated, that puts the active rosters at the full 25 limit, meaning that someone has to be moved off of it for Anderson to be added.

I assume Buster Posey is getting activated today because Aramis Garcia was optioned to Sacramento yesterday, without a corresponding move.

Moore was claimed by the Ms.

I will miss him. He was a great Giant.

With Buster Posey activated from the 7 day il yesterday, we just need Pomeranz back so the squad can be fully healthy to make a run for 80 something losses.

I just want him back so we can get a lotto ticket in exchange in a trade. That is his ENTIRE value right now.

I wonder how miserable Bochy will be with this team after July 31st.
Right now, he will only be losing a few relievers. My big question right now is Moronta. Do they hold on to him through the rebuild years, or deal him now at near-peak value?

I think his numbers will play a big part in that. If he is pitching well, then I would think that his value would be high, so the Giants will probably trade him. If he looks shaky, then I would think that they hold on to him.

Given that, as of right now, our highest potential prospects are still 3+ years away I would say that anyone in AAA or above should be considered for trade. Yes, even guys like Moronta, Gott, Anderson and Garcia, but also guys like Fernando Abad and Sam Selman, guys who are dominating AAA but have no room on the roster.
