Fuck Jeff Kent! (No offense 500.)

Lol

I remember the conversation on the baseball board. Can't remember which thread, it was awhile ago.

He's had a couple decent seasons since.

Now i am interested in if this happened... I don't doubt your memory, so i assume i did say it at one point... Just don't remember it... and remember in other threads saying he was one...

There was a time when I thought Verlander would be a HOFer. I don't now.

Didn't mean to call you out or anything, just caught me off Gaurd with the pick. Since I didn't think you were as big on him as others. I'd pencilled him in my lineup already.

Ken Griffey Jr. > Speaker.

Eh, Griffey in Seattle maybe but i'd prefer a guy who didn't break down at 30. I'll take Speaker.

OPS+ 157 - 136

You said you were impressed by strikeout rate, don't get much better than Speakers.

Honestly players back then are impossible to analyze... But i think i agree
I'm biased with Griffey, I know it. But the defense and power are kinda unmatched.

Agree on dead ball guys, the lack of power is impossible to transfer. Cobbs a Triple Crown winner, didn't hit a ball over the fence that year. Obviously still was an Elite power hitter, relative to the time.

i am lower on him than most since i don't like that he never walks... But i do appreciate his defense, and consider him a HOFer solely because of that...

Tris had a great career SO%(3.3) but the time he played in the Average was 8.8 that is well under modern day periods...

Isn't there another guy nicknamed "Pudge" that came around before Ivan?

Less home run hitters = less swinging and missing... That's not Speakers fault...
