Is this really news? I thought he already tested positive and went into rehab for this season? Guess I don't quite recall whether the league officially suspended him or not.

Nope they let him come back and play and than suspended him once the playoffs started :noidea:

no conspiracy here but why would the NFL allow him to play the last two games with the missed drug test already in play? Dallas had to cut a player to bring him back. Oh well, Dallas's dline is getting healthy with Lawrence and Crawford back at practice today. Not an issue for a guy who mighty seen 5 plays next week.

Timing of this suspension is somewhat suspect... Did John Mara's lips move when Roger announced it?

Gregory was suspended the first four games of 2016 for a violation during his rookie season. He was suspended another 10 games for missing a test in the offseason.

The most recent violation, which is believed to be for missing another test, occurred during the regular season while Gregory was with the team, but not practicing.

According to the NFL's substance-abuse policy, "within a reasonable period of time, following the hearing, the Commissioner will issue a written decision which will constitute a full, final, and complete disposition of the appeal and which will be binding on all parties."

Gregory recorded the first sack of his career in the Cowboys' Week 17 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. He made his season debut a week earlier against the Detroit Lions.

To get Gregory on the 53-man roster, the Cowboys waived defensive end Zach Moore, who was subsequently claimed by the San Francisco 49ers. Had the Cowboys known Gregory would not be available for the playoffs, perhaps they would have made a different roster move.

Well fuck.....

I hope good old Rog isn't going to bomb Dallas by suddenly deciding to suspend Elliott "after a reasonable period of investigation..."

I'd be very haad pressed not to punch good Old Rog in the yap if I had the chance.

Dallas knew what they were getting into with this dip shit.

He's been a moron dating back to his college days. It started with him being too much of an idiot to go to Purdue. Then after a couple good seasons, he goes out for the draft and proceeds to fall his drug test at the combine.

He's like Onterrio Smith, he has talent, but he loves his weed more than football or the money he stands to make.

Smokin' pot isn't conducive to these types of violent actions. Only thing I ever killed back in the day was Red Lobster on "All the Crab Legs You Can Eat" night.
