Cowboys resign Markquese Bell 3 years $12M. Not a bad move
34 snaps For $12M. Typical for this team. You either like the player in which case he should see the field more (before his injury) or you don’t like him and you let him go. They just can’t decide what they want.

Maybe Eberflus likes him for this scheme? He did have 94 tackles the year before. I'm kind of wondering what Dono Wilson's role will be on this team. Eberflus likes to play Tampa 2, and Wilson is close to worthless playing anywhere but in the box

If they have any clue about the cap he will be cut. Good teams move on when the players cap hit exceeds their value and go get a better replacement in free agency. This team is afraid to move on for the 1 in 100 chance the player plays well elsewhere.

All of a sudden CB is a glaring need. SMFH at these miserable tight wads

Ok....3 years, $30M, $20M in guarantees. I really don't get the Cowboys. They clear all that space, they resign Osa, and then they let JLew walk. Idiotic. I get that it's $10M per. Diggs is making $20M per. So Lewis makes half as much and he's a better player. Lewis was the best DB on the team and a leader. Diggs is hurt, notoriously lazy in his rehab, and you let this kid walk? The whole good vibe to the start of the offseason just went down the toilet

This pisses me off more than those players they lost last year

First Bell and now our long snapper. We are just cleaning up on Special Teams. Beware rest of League

We just aren't serious about winning. They needed another corner even if we brought JLew back. Diggs won't be back till the start of the season and who knows how that goes. Lewis was a critical piece, more important than Osa, and he was a must IMO for this scheme. Horseshit

I find it hard to believe the defense will be top 25 in the league this year.too many gaping holes. They are in rebuild mode whether they say so or not. They lost too many players the past two off seasons.

spotrac is showing that Bell signed a 3 year $9M. @298032 for 2025, $2833333 for 2026, and $3633334 for 2027

Just like you and the rest of the board, I'll root my ass off every game, but being realistic, this one is tough. We go into the season down Overshown and Lewis, who IMO were our top two defenders last season not named Micah. Diggs will be back but there's a good chance he won't be himself for a while after the injury. Tank, Golston and Lawson are all FA's, my guess is we may back one of three and they'll role with Micah, Kneeland and Sam Williams. Kendricks is likely gone. We need another NT and 3T to go with our starters. We haven't gotten to the offense yet. I just don't know how you can have the space, let this kid walk, and pretend we are trying to win

Reading both Ward and Greenlaw. Not interested in Ward unless they cut Diggs

I never thought I'd say this, but it might be smart to sit out the first wave of FA signings.
The first day will be crazy money contract after crazy money contract.
You are 100% correct. I saw Milton Williams was listed as the #1 FA and got big money and he didn’t even start. Josh Sweat got 80 million for 6 sacks this year. He had an incredible SB but this is a completely mediocre FA class. Sam Darnold? Please…

I heard last week when we signed Goodwin so quick was a sign they would get their LS and punter signed quickly. Seems they are concerned about coach bones taking these guys.

Washington trades a 3rd rounder this year and a 2nd and 4th next year for Laremy Tunsil and a 4th. 30 years old, top 5 LT in todays game. Good trade both ways IMO. Houston gets a nice package of picks, Washington recognizes this is their 5 year window while Daniel's is on his rookie deal and they are going for it.
