Schaub was traded to the Raiders for a 6th round pick. What does that do to Cousins value? It doesn't help it, that's for sure. While he is younger and cheaper, Cousins is an unproven player compared to Schaub. At this point, I doubt we could get anything more than a 4th for him. He is more valuable to us than that.

I could see a team offering 3rd for him but still wouldn't do it unless it was a 2nd round pick.

I wouldn't do it for a 2nd round pick. A good backup is worth more than a 2nd round pick. Especially with RG3 injury history.

I'd jump on a second round pick. He'll, I'd jump on a high 3rd. The reality is if rg3 goes down again, the season is most likely lost. We can pick up a cheap back up in FA or in the latter part of the draft (or an UFA).

The season is not lost jy19. Cousins can win games in this league if RG3 goes down.

Are you serious? Getting a 2nd round pick for Cousins could really help the Redskins this year. Hell a 3rd round pick for Cousins would be okay. NOOO one will ever give us a 1st rd pick for Cousins. Yes having a good backup is ideal but this team isn't ideal and needs starters over backups.

Why would you get rid of Cousins if we have a injury prone QB who runs? Doesn't make sense to me. Yes I wouldn't do it for a 2nd rounder. A backup QB is huge on this team. If you did trade Cousins who do you replace him with? You would have to waste a draft pick or sign a veteran who will cost more money for Cousins and will have less talent.

Id definetly trade him for a 2nd and would at least think about it for a third. For a fourth id probably just keep him.

How? You don't know if that pick will pan out. Why not sure up the most important position on the team? The draft is a crap shoot.

I would take a 2nd or 3rd... This year OR next, in either draft.

You also don't know if KC is anything more than a backup. I'd rather take a chance on a guy that is on the field every down over a guy that is on the sideline unless your season is over.

Cousins may not pan out, a 2nd round pick may not pan out but on the Redskins Cousins is a backup and the Redskins have few draft picks and I rather have a 2nd round pick then a backup who may not even play a down this year. I would trade Cousins for a 2nd round pick and sign mostly anyone to be our backup. If RG3 goes down (knocking on wood) our season wont be solved by Cousins or any backup we sign. However that 2nd round pick would help us fix our o-line, or add to a nice WR core, or add to our secondary.

I think a second round pick has more of a chance of winning out then cousins. And as others have said if we have to go to cousins we have bigger problems. Not to mention I expect we could find a usable backup to replace cousins.

well as of now he is 1-3

... and Griffin was 2-9. Bad analogy. Those guessing 2nd round were way off unless someone covets Kirk and I don't see that happening. He has more value as a backup for the Redskins.

I would say yes to a 2nd or 3rd in the 2014 draft as well as a 2nd or 3rd in the 2015 draft (determined by playing time).

we spent a 4th rounder on KC . we dont have to pay him much and he solidifies the BU qb position . so keeping him doesnt kill us . the alternative is rex or even a sanchez .

the 2nd rounder could be intriguing but who pays that based on his pedestrian showing at the end of the year ?

no one is paying a 2nd rounder for KC
