Yes but I believe Bell is a huge weapon in the passing game that would of have given the Redskins fits. Yes Williams is a good back but Bell just offers more in the passing game that the Redskins would had to account for.

Good point...but not really...you have to remember...Bell missed 10 games LY...in the 6 games he played, he was targeted 26 times catching 24 I think & about 5 YPC...Williams was targeted 47 times and caught 40 for roughly 9 YPC.

Where the Steelers will really miss Bell is short yardage imo...3rd @ 2 Ben doesn't have to be automatically be in shotgun with Bell whereas with DWill...maybe he is.

That is crazy. Whatever gives us the best chance to win is what every fan should be looking for.
I am ok with you thinking I'm crazy to have that opinion. Agree to disagree.

That is my point Bell is the ultimate dual threat. That is why its an advantage for the Redskins that he is out.

Cali, that is fine. Its about winning games, playing in January, and hopefully playing in the Super Bowl. Every fan wants to see their team win.

I understand what you're saying, but I don't agree that Bell being out creates an advantage for the opponent. The reason...the run/pass balance is not likely to change much. WAS will still have to defend the run, and be cognizant of Dwill in the passing game, just as they would Bell.

So if you took Ben or A. Brown off the field, now they're a different team altogether because the backups are not nearly as talented.

Don't get me wrong though...I'd rather have Bell starting than Williams, no question. But the drop off in production to the OFC is less than what you think.

IMO the defensive gameplan would have been a lot different for Bell than Williams.

IDK about a lot...but maybe. I know this team pretty well, if I were defending the Steelers, the biggest change I would make...I wouldn't respect the run much in the 2+ to 3 yds short yardage...aside from that I expect PIT to run the same plays they always have.

Do you think Norman can shut down Brown one on one? I think Miller will be a huge loss for you guys. I know you got Green but he is still raw. Not afraid of DHB or Coates at all.

Gosh no...Julio torched Norman when they played him m-t-m LY.

Norman had a career yr LY...he'd shown steady improvement until then. I like Norman, but he's not a shut down CB imo...good, but he can't mirror WRs like the true shut down CBs have in the past.

Don't sleep on DHB...he came around LY late...still has game changing speed...with Bryant out, I expect him to get more deep balls this yr.

Coates is an unknown at this point...agreed, but potential is there.

Green is not going to be Heath 2.0 at all... didn't get the reps playing behind a HOF, but he's got skills....Miller was more of the zone threat his last few years, Green should be a zone and m-t-m threat, but the blocker Miller was...he's not expected to participate much in camp the 1st week which is a concern because he needs reps with Ben more than anyone.

Julio is a different WR than Brown. Norman shut down a lot of big names last year. He might even get safety help b/c you guys don't really have a legit #2 option. I think GB and ARI would be a lot more explosive for the Skins b/c they have more weapons.

Agree, I see a lot of both players. Julio is a beast, but Brown is more elusive, and more reliable.

I should say it like this...no one has shut down Brown 1 on 1, and he's faced CBs that I think are better than Norman who I said had a career yr LY...like the player, we'll have to see if he repeats it.

WR2...I tend to agree. Wheaton is in a contract yr...needs to be more consistent, but he's a very capable WR...if he get the same amount of targets this yr, I expect him to be a 1k guy. Where it drops off imo is WR3...DHB needs to step up and Coates gets his chance to shine...a lot of people like his skill set, but he's got to show it on the field early.

I'm looking forward to this game, but win or lose I expect PIT to be in the hunt for the DIV and a top 3 seed.

Yes Pit is a top 3 team in the AFC. That is why its huge if the Redskins could pull this one off.

You're right. Browns better. There isn't a defense in this league that can stop Antonio Brown from getting his, let alone a single player.

I gotta call BS here. In this league where minimal games are played and each game is huge for a number a reasons any fan has to feel giddy as a school girl being ask to the dance if a leading WR or RB or QB will miss the game with your favorite team. This goes with your fantasy team also. Happy as all get out if the team you're facing has all his top players on a bye.

Hoping Elliott of the Cowboys get a two game suspension for what I think is a BS charge. Still, hope he gets it.

Rep, you cant tell me you dont get tired of hearing how the Skins ONLY won the division because the Giants and Eagles sucked and the Cowboys were injured. Or the crap about two of our Lombardis only happened because they were in strike shortened seasons. Call me crazy, but I would much rather see us beat a Steelers team at their best, then win against the backups and STILL have the questions about our team floating out there. At some point we have to get to a point where we EXPECT to win if we want to be a good team. Not HOPE the other team is injured, suspended or inferior.

Yea I get tired of hearing it because its BS. Fans of the 3 nfce teams and sport pundicks seem to overlook that we had substantial injuries too. Its a cop out. They remind me of a girl dumping them and to make themselves feel better they convince themselves she wasnt very pretty to begin with. Its sad to see really.

Yes, its always satisfying to win with a great team with all its pieces but even then their fans and sport shows talking heads alwsys find a reason or two why we beat em. Its never because we are the better team. Until we win in the playoffs that will always be who we are... An average team. So I wanna get to the playoffs anyway we can and then see what happens.

Regarding the strike shortened seasons... They're all idiots who cry that BS.

It makes for better football when the best face the best... I understand ur reasoning still when an apposing player goes down my joy of victory remains the same.

Agreed, but its a thin line between enjoying a win over a banged up or otherwise short opponent, and hoping for injuries, suspensions and the like.
