100 times THIS

who cares if it came from the new york post ... doesnt change the fact the Devils are completely leveraged and have been for a few years now ... it was only just a matter of time before the interest payments caught up with them

Biggest problem with the post is they will and always have put their own spin on things.A lot of other variables not taken into account in that article. They will always have ny rangers undertones to all their hockey stories .The best spot for devils news has always been tg northjersey news paper .IMO he has always been head and shoulders above the rest and is one of few unbiased writers who is more concerned with facts than what kind of bang he can get from an article. He also always answers valid questions through twitter.Great reporter even if he is a rags fan :D

If NHL takes over NJD by draft, who's table is Gary at? Better yet,if he places trade call to PHX, he fast enough to get there to pick it up?

Again,
I am having one hell of a time figuring out the NHLs criteria for getting involved and not getting involved.

Phoenix - lose money, we got you.
Atlanta - lose money, fuck you
Columbus - say you're losing money? Meh
NJD - Lose money, I always wanted a matching set.
NYI - You still here? How's that arena?

It's enough of a conflict of interest to own one team. Two? Holy crap. No credibility anymore. What if it had been Phoenix and NJD in the final this year?

NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly denied a report Monday that the league is preparing to take the team away from co-owner Jeff Vanderbeek.

I guess stay tuned?

I always thought that Biggs was the Devils owner and Vanderbeek was the pie fucker. I always mix those two up...

Biggs couldn't even seal the deal with that foreign exchange student. You know Dawson was able to seal the deal with Joey before making his money as Bluntman.

TG took a shot at the post via Twitter "For those asking nothing with the devils ownership situation has changed, when there are facts to be reported I will report them "

Gotta like those deep runs in the playoffs...

But the Devils’ deep playoff run brought in $32 million in extra revenue, which has given Vanderbeek breathing room to seek a better deal. The team has sold 1,500 new full season-ticket packages for next season, and the renewal rate for existing season-ticket holders is nearly 95 percent, compared to 84 percent last year.

@dkaplanSBJ Devils lenders today could push club into bankruptcy, but won't. Amazing moment. Lenders now in charge of big 4 club's fate

Not the end of the world, but I'd be a little worried about my team's financial stability.

Gary Bettman: We have 30 strong and healthy franchises.
Gary Bettman: We cannot continue operations under the current economic model.

I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but those statements seem a little contradictory to me...

All it takes is 1 person with deep pockets to get involved. And if it is the beginning of the end, at least we kicked ass while it lasted.

Just make sure said person with deep pockets isn't named Frank McCourt or have a nickname of boots.
