They could drop out of contention easily but Doc Rivers is a good coach and should be able to find ways to stay in contention. I think the real question is how many years will it take Balmers to blow it up and fire Rivers

First I don't think Chris Paul is even close to being an asshole - and second I personally thought Griffin was one-half of a prick a few years ago and had a serious attitude, but I also think he has calmed down considerably. Griffin actually holds his composure well considering how much he gets hammered. I have found it hard to hate on him for trying to win games. Now on the other hand - Matt Barnes is an asshole

With Griffin and Reddick out in the midst of a 4 game losing streak they find themselves only 4 games up on PHX, 5.5 ahead of the Pelicans and 6.5 over OKC.

Seems like a big lead, but with how PHX, NOP & OKC are playing they won't be able to drop too many games if they want to hang on. Check out their upcoming 15 game stretch ALL likely without Griffin.

It's at the point where I need to stop watching games so I don't break anything else in my house.


6 losses this year have come off game-winning shots. I wonder if that's a record in one season? And what makes it worse is three of them took unreal bounces.

It's possible they'll fall out. I think they have one of the best starting 5 in the NBA but now they're down 2 guys. They're bench is pretty weak once you get past Crawford. So its gonna hurt. And it only takes a couple of losses before you're on the bubble in the West. What might save them is Phoenix keeps finding ways to lose games late on the final possession(s) so they're more likely to fall out before LAC does. And I can't see both NO and OKC getting in so the Clips might just barely hang on.

This of course is if Blake misses a ton of time. The timetable I've seen is crazy. He could be fine within 10 days or he could be gone 6 weeks. If its the former, no worries. If its the latter...ouch

I could see that being a distaster. You can't stumble for too long in the west. I think the Thunder might be smelling blood here too.

It will take about 50 wins to make the playoffs in the West. Clippers already have 33. With 30 games left that means they need to go about 17-13 to make it. They do have this brutal stretch ahead, but it is going to tough with or without Griffin. After that they get a better schedule with some easy teams. They should be able to make it, but hopefully it comes down to the last game @Phoenix April 14th for a win or go home for both teams just to keep things exciting!
