Could the Clippers miss the playoffs?

With Griffin and Reddick out in the midst of a 4 game losing streak they find themselves only 4 games up on PHX, 5.5 ahead of the Pelicans and 6.5 over OKC.

Seems like a big lead, but with how PHX, NOP & OKC are playing they won't be able to drop too many games if they want to hang on. Check out their upcoming 15 game stretch ALL likely without Griffin.

And we should also wait to see if Blake is actually back after the break. They actually have a good record against the other playoffs teams in the west so if Blake returns I think they'll be good

If Blake is back in 2 weeks, which is totally possible, they can tread water.

No matter what, they are still a 1st round knockout this Season without a trade.

They wouldn't be bad but I think they need a true lockdown defender at the 3

They could be in trouble if OKC goes on a tear but I don't really see that happening.

It all depends on how much time Griffin misses. Because if they are without him for most of these games then they are in line for a really tough stretch where they'll drop at least 2-3 games to those other 3 teams behind them.

I agree but if he is back after the AS break which they're saying at the moment they'll be fine but if he miss another 2-3 weeks after the break they will be in pretty big trouble imo

I just saw the 4-6 week timetable when I made this thread, didn't read that there's a chance it could only be 2 weeks... including the ASB that would mean he'd only miss a couple games in which case it wouldn't really hurt them.

The longer break will benefit them.

I'm in NYC. 19 degrees this Friday. Not balling weather at all.

If it was the weekend I would be fine. It's just going to be dead in the week. I get off work at 5 and usually head to the gym after so getting through 8 PM-11 PM EST will be tough unless there are some good CBB games on.

Also when it is this cold like it's been here lately, nobody wants to hang out after work unless it is a little happy hour or something.
