Could Mario Williams be signed? Reunite with Kubiak and Philips?

I think Philips only had him one season. He is listed at 6 foot 6 292lbs.

Not sure what the contract ramifications would be. If it is significant, then no way. Could be interesting though.

I don't think it would be crazy to think that he could. Now at 292 he honestly could play both outside and inside in the 3-4 defense. To me though this only happens if we cut Ware.

If it means cutting Ware, then a big giant hell no to that. My thinking is if they can sign him to.....oh 8 mil or something and he and Antonio Smith rotate in replacing Malik Jackson, it may make more sense.

Shane Ray I am anticipating getting more playing time and aging Ware will get less and less. If and when they see play off action, certainly Ware assuming he is healthy just does his thing.

Yeah Williams is honestly bigger than I thought. So he could play that penetrating DE spot for us and push inside when we go to the nickel. I could definitely get behind this signing. I'm still bigger on Nick Fairley than I am Williams coming here but that is just personal preference.
