I would rather win the Big XII Championship and lose to UCONN in the Fiesta

We have only got 1 decade without a conference championship...........we don't want to make it 2 decades.

Watching Nebraska get that Big 12 Championship trophy would be the most satisfying thing I could possibly get out of the last 10 years of Nebraska football.

if all else fails, one of your bowls will probably be against someone who can't fill their slot, we could always set up a Boise State vs Nebraska game

LOL..........Nebraska is like gold to any and every bowl. The absolute first bowl that can select Nebraska will do so.

If no other Pac 10 teams become bowl eligible this weekend they would not be able to fulfill their Holiday bowl commitment with the Big XII.

I just don't see the Insight Bowl passing on Nebraska given the opportunity.

Backroom deals with bowl committees are not unheard of though, so there is a slight possibility.

Not so. The Alamo Bowl doesn't want a Nebraska/Arizona or Nebraska/Washington rematch, and they are next up for selection now that the Cotton Bowl's been filled with A&M

They'll have a pool of Okie St (10-2), Missouri (10-2) and potentially Oklahoma (10-3).

Nebraska could slide to the Holiday Bowl, but it's not likely..

There really should be no worry for any bowl selecting Nebraska...........no matter what bowl we go to the tickets are going to be bought, and the hotels are going to be filled, and the bars are going to be drank, and the restaurants are going to cook steaks...........it is dumb that any bowl even sits there and thinks about it.

If anything, the Alamo should be more worried about taking Okie State over Nebraska because of the fact that Okie State fans could easily drive there the day of.

The Cotton had no problem selecting A&M over Nebraska did it? They know how well Nebraska travels.

And San Antonio and back to Stoolwater for Okie St fans in one day? They'd at least spend the night.

I agree with you though that NU fans support the team like no other and bowls are happy to have that side of a school there.
The other thing they look at though is the other teams fan support and what kind of interest it would bring for tv revenue.

I highly doubt the Alamo Bowl will select Nebraska considering who the opponent looks to be.

I'm sure the Alamo Bowl committee is crunching numbers and making phone calls as we post. The Cotton has made it's choice and they are next on the clock.
They are sitting in a real good situation having three of four 10 win teams to choose from.

Oklahoma
Oklahoma St
Missouri
Nebraska
