Take the NFL and Mr. Goodell to court in order to recoup that 36 million cap penalty imposed upon this team in 2012. When last asked about this a couple of years ago, Bruce Allen assured us that it was not over.

Since that time......crickets. The NFL and their collective ownership group are reeling after their 5th consecutive loss yesterday, which means that they could probably not afford another protracted court trial. Especially one, that was not covered by the salary cap since there wasn't one in place at the time of the NFL's accusation against Washington, and ironically, they gave their stamp of approval. Unless there's an unpublished deal in place between DC and the NFL, and time has not taken the option out of consideration, Dan Snyder should do what he's vowed to do in defense of his franchise, take them to court. Who knows, maybe Bruce had it right, "winning off the field" just might translate into winning on it.

got to call this a dead issue. If they were going to fight this, it should have been done in 2012. Its 2015 now, time to let it go, realize it was a forewarning of what that year would really bring and move on.

Didn't they try and the judge somehow ruled against the team? Years later I'm not over it. I'll never be over it. I root for the Cowboys when they play the Giants now, seriously.

Most Redskins fans kind of gave a pass to the Giants over the years, I know I did. After Dallas and Philly (my #1 hated team because of their fans) there just wasn't a lot of hate left for the Giants.

But all that changed with the cap penalty. Shanny was pretty clear that had they known about it sooner they would not have made the trade for Griffin. The penalty and the timing of it, an hour before FA in an unnecessary twist of the knife, changed our direction for the follow 5 years at least. Dallas never did anything like this to us.
