And the rest of the Detroit Tigers faithful on here:

Good signing.

He should be able to duplicate (or at least come very close to it) Delmon Youngs regular season numbers from last year, he's an excellent clubhouse guy and he can play both corner OF positions.

You guys are going to be BEASTS next year if healthy.

Always liked Tori Hunter, and he always seems to be on a playoff team so he has the experience. That's a nice pickup.

Hunter and Young?

This just in: The Detroit Twi, er, Tigers have signed Kirby Puckett, Harmon Killebrew, and Kent Hrbek as well.

We badly needed a left handed hitting corner outfielder.

Now hopefully we can re-sign Sanchez and maybe a closer.

Oh man, can't wait until next season!

Torii Hunter? Nice! Always had boatloads of respect for that guy. Too bad we couldn't have a younger version of him. :ohwell:

If you can handle his streakiness, then he's your man. Probably my favorite current player.

He's still got a lot left in his tank, even though his early years at the Metrodome have caught up to him.

I don't actually, you know, FOLLOW baseball. It's just on the local sports radio a lot, so I know that these guys (Young and Hunter) were at one point on the Twins and then later on the Tigers.

And as for Dash, being legally deceased hasn't stopped Rick DiPietro yet, don't see why it would stop a much superior player in Puckett.

Delmon was a Tiger this past season, but he's now a FA that won't be re-signed, and officially Hunter isn't a Tiger until he passes a physical.

Pirates. Do something.

They are currently negotiating with the Minnesota Wild for every player on the roster last season. After all, Pittsburgh needs to defend its back-to-back lead the division halfway through the season only to collapse and miss the playoffs titles, and the Wild really showed last year that they had the personnel for that.

seems they filled a pretty big hole in the field.

‏@Buccigross

- Detroit signs Torii Hunter. Tigers rightfielders cost team 17 runs in the field last season, 2nd-worst total in the MLB. (Mets were worst)
- Lowest OPS Rightfielders Last Season Tigers .641 Astros .650 Mariners .659 Royals .667 New Tiger Tori Hunter: .817 OPS

You mean Lucas Duda isn't a great defensive player? Now I don't know what to believe. By the way, does anybody want to trade for the reigning NL Cy Young winner?
