The middle LBs for the Broncos each have over 100 tackles on the season. Great comeback by Trevathan after immense problems with his knees. Marshall continues to be underrated by a large degree. These fellows are the heart of this great defense.

I don't think Trevathan is quite as fast as he was and I don't think Marshall has been as healthy this year as he was last year - but these are the guys who are chopping wood in the Bronco defense - they have to be there to clean up if someone else tries to make a play - and misses. They are the heart and soul of this defense.

Yeah, I don`t think they've both been 100% for all year at same time for many of the gms but those boys are ballers and Denver would`nt be looking at top three ( categories) and #1 D if it wasn't for them. Good post and good job

They are respectively ranked 5th and 6th among all ILB's in the NFL this season. Trevathan is actually ranked higher than Marshall after the ridiculous game that Trevathan had this past week. Marshall has been the better run stopper but Trevathan has been the better all around player of the two. I remember way back this off season we were all debating just how these guys would do playing ILB and being very undersized to do so. Heck the entire middle of this defense with Sly Williams, 2 undersized ILB's, and Darian Stewart at the FS position really looked like that would be where teams would try and attack this defense. Every one of those guys have played lights out and really proved a lot of people wrong this year.

It's scary to think we could lose one or even both of them next yr if money is big issue with either of them. I think Denver can recover well enough with the talent there if we lose one but both would be hard.

Marshall is a RFA so very very small chance we would lose him. A team would have to give up a draft pick to get him and my guess is the Broncos put either a 1st or 2nd round tender on him. I can't see a team willing to part with that. Trevathan though I do think he might be the odd man out when it comes to contract for our defensive players. It will depend how much he wants but he could easily price himself out of Denver. I mean heck Curtis Lofton a guy who graded out as one of the worst ILB's in the NFL in 2014 still got $6 million a year. I can't see the Broncos wanting to pay him more than that.

I could be wrong - but I believe that Trev is an unrestricted FA and Marshall a restricted FA. So that seems that it would be more likely that if we lose one of them it would be Trev headed out of Denver. Would love to keep both, just not sure that's going to happen.
