Can't deny how great Herman is. To call him an "Ohio coach", however, isn't at all accurate.

If not for our blueblood, you'd be a marginal mid-major.

Keep him warm, we'll be back for him in about 7-10 years.

Where did you finish in your class? Most of his coaching career has been in TX.

And yet Houston would not hire him until after he coached at tOSU. Looks like they wanted an Ohio coach.

It seems like they do this every couple of years like clockwork. The least consistent program on earth.

Jenkins, Pardee, or Yeoman will win 10 games and they are the toast of the town...then they recede.
Briles will win 10 game and they are the toast of the town....then recede again.
Sumlin will then win 10 games, and Houston is again the toast of the town...then recede again.

It is a very strange pattern for one program to have all its coaches have one oddball zenith season.

Now its Herman's turn.....
