Showing your age.

LOL I can live with that. Could have easily brought up this past year's football season, of course. Not many teams had a better one that UH. We kinda killed it on signing day, too!

Guy Lewis had some good hoops teams. That was the best team. Elvin Hayes was the best player IMHO.

Big E is certainly a legend, as were Dream and Glide. Michael Young, Rob Williams, Otis Birdsong, and Cadillac Anderson were also great players who played for Guy Lewis.

This thread, however, is about football, so let the attention please turn toward Herman, Orlando, Ward, Taylor et. al. !

How many "bluebloods" were better than Houston this past season? I say two: Gumps and Faggots. Anyone with half a brain knows that's not happening again.

I think the OP played for Wisconsin last year and still hasn't recovered.

Interesting characterization. How might one characterize UT? "Underachieving" is the first word to my mind.

Actually, Cougar High is easily one of the most underachieving programs of all time, right up there with Aggy and SMU. Located in one of the most fertile recruiting grounds in the entire world and have nothing to show for it. UofH would probably roll the Horns this year, no doubt b/c our defense will still suck big time, but once Herman leaves this year or next, Cougs will be back to mediocrity. Sucks to be a stepping stone program b/c y'all have had some damn good coaches come through the last 10 years.

Really profound words did you not totally ignore economics. And please keep referring to Tier One Research University UH as "Cougar High". Doing so nearly covers your vagina.

Houston is choke city. Rockets were able to land 2 titles because MJ took a break. I will give U of H credit though, they sure can hire some coaches.

Not sure who the Faggots are, but Ohio State was better.

I was a freshman/sophomore? with a Nikon and black/white film pushed to the hilt, courtside watching those guys. Of course then, it was no big deal. Now, I'd like to go back in time...
