  USA Today's Jarrett Bell reports NFL owners are "counting votes" on potentially removing Commanders owner Dan Snyder.​

  Bell's source is an anonymous NFL owner. By "counting votes", the owner is alluding to the fact that 24 franchises would need to vote Snyder out, and the cohort that wants him gone is seeing if they have the numbers necessary to make it happen. An official vote has yet to occur. The move stems from an ongoing investigation into the Commanders that alleges they cheated other teams out of ticket revenue which is shared amongst the franchises. The allegation adds that the team withheld as much as $5 million in refundable deposits from season ticket holders. Washington has also been investigated for fostering a culture of sexual harassment. Snyder's reign as the Commanders' owner has been marred by an unending series of scandals. His mismanagement of the team may finally come to an end if the rest of the league has had enough. Snyder would be forced to sell the franchise if he is successfully voted out.

If they win, they’ve “evolved.”

If they win next year with a first or second place schedule, they’ve “evolved” further.

We've already seen that movie, a few times. 2007, 2012, 2015. This team needs to 'evolve' beyond a single half ass decent season of beating other tomato can teams. With a good win against a good team they caught on a bad day. Get into the playoffs, then exit the playoffs post haste.

one aspect i think this article got wrong was the name thing . the fans loved the name redskins . then to be cut out of the renaming of it when the base really wanted red wolves to end up with the commanders . . suing fans didnt help

The biggest thing the article got wrong was calling the Skins a very good football team. I can't get too upset at it though. Goodness knows I've been okee doked by them a few times my damn self.

The voting is rigged!! Let me tell you, if we the fans, followers, supporters don't get what we want then "they" whoever they are, stole it from us. Any news contrary to this, or coming from objection to our collective, mindless singular thought is "fake" borne by those that this same (fake) media tells us to not trust, so we won't trust itecause we agree with that.

Hell, at this point in the Snyder era, we could literally commit treason and pretend to give up on the team that we have loved and supported in lifetimes, storm, then threaten to destroy the meeting place and voters where the vote is being taken, while insisting that we're right because sky master J and our total misreading of our own self importance tells us it's the right thing to do.

Tell you what, we dare them to try to illegally remove Dan from his rightful place, but if they do, let's all don red baseball caps, and have a dumb-assed slogan like "MASA" (Make Ashburn Snyder's Again) while attempting to replace the NFL hierarchy with people who will go to great lengths to kiss his ass and completely destroy the NFL as we've come to know it.
