If they stay within the beltway, they will get all of the support that they can handle. Moving outside of that geographic feature and I completely agree with the state senator.

It's a Commanders thing Dean. Allow them to process and make their decisions, pro or con with respect to acceptance or not.

In their defense, and their perspective, the "Commanders" have yet to take the field in the NFL. They have no record, no history, no fan base, nor tradition. So, I ask you, please let this one go!

I believe that the point from their perspective is that it's NOT the same team.

I don't want to speak for them, but some have made their objections to the name change very clear. So unless they feel it necessary to rehash points already made about this, how about giving them time to work things out?

Its the same players. You would think everyone has embraced the name change by now.
