The coach centric model has proven to be a failure...at least in this organization.

I am not sure if the pats were purely coach centric when bellichek and pioli were working together. I believe bellichek is the de facto GM now but I am probably wrong. I am pretty ignorant with the patriots.

Dean and I disagreed when Rivera was hired because Rivera had no front office experience. Dean was excited to have Rivera as the GM and HC. He has been bad the past 4 years IMO. This is why I was against the hire for the most part. You dont hire a GM with zero front office experience. Snyder did just that.

Dean admitted that Rivera stinks as a GM so I think we all agree here.

That is why the 4 wins is not that impressive to be honest. Name one good team or qb we have beaten?

ATL and Desmond Ridder?
NE and Mac Jones?
ARZ and Josh Dobbs?
DEN and Russell Wilson?

Those are 3 of the worst 5 teams in the NFL.

Each game came down to a final play like in DEN, or the other team was driving for the win or tie like ARZ, NE, and ATL.

I can see wins against the Jets, Rams, and Giants. It is a week to week league but I do think we are a good team and certainly don't deserve to be in the playoffs.

He could be a good head coach, I don't doubt that.

As you know, the main problem with the team isn't the offense right now, it's the defense.

We are 19th in offense and 30th in defense. I would be curious to see how EB would address that.

My main concern is who is the GM? That is more important than the head coach right now. To your point, the oline must be addressed.

Who picks those new OLinemen? Who directs the strategy?

The GM needs to hire the coach. If it is EB, so be it. It might be him. I want the GM to make that call.

That's true. However, in THIS situation, we have a solid HC prospect on staff, who will give us continuity. Why would we allow him to walk? We've done that dance before and regretted it.

well in reference to rivera,bienemy seems just as confused as rivera is at times.many canidates out there better than bienemy.ben johnson of detroit for one

We have one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL. We have a rookie QB starting his 8th NFL game. He came into training camp and cracked the whip. Howell led the league in passing last week and has had MULTIPLE 300 yard games... EB's taken lemons and made lemonade. If you cant see it, I'm not sure what to tell you.
