Time to have a conversation??
(Last Ten Games)

Jalen Hurts•
2,576 passing yards
15 TD
9 INT

Sam Howell•
2,640 passing yards
15 TD
10 INT

One is claimed to be a “Top QB” who has a super team built around him

& the other is a 2nd year guy who only played 10 games
Dad...I expected better.

Lets wait a little longer.

There isn't a rookie in the draft that's gonna do what Sam is doing... build around him! 1699370469657.png

OK, let's have that conversation. Better yet the shortened version of the same.

In 2022 we had Dan Snyder as owner and a relatively safe Ron Rivera as HC/GM. He, Rivera hired Turner ad his OC. Nearvthecend of that season, and rumors began to grow of a pending ownership change, Rivera with a sense of panick and desperation overshadowing his future, plucked the Carson Wince card hoping that he would save his behind. Failing that and now more desperate than ever, Rivera at the behest of a player inserted Howell into the final game of the season. It was an ok showing and subsequently Ron fires Turner, hires, EB, and is now trying to once again save himself by declaring.. "Oh look new team owners, I have found your QB."
My fear is that Harris and owners buy the nonsense. Rivera will go on his run...it might have already started.

I am willing to bet that Rivera is telling Harris that with the 90 million and 5 top 100 picks, he will build an elite team and bring in the most talented offensive lineman to protect howell.

I am willing to bet that Rivera will say whatever it takes to stay in power. Rivera is humble enough to admit his mistakes and that I respect about him.

The bottom line is that the nfc is bad and the commanders could very well make the playoffs. Is that enough to convince Harris and team that he is the cornerstone of the organization? I don't know.

Like I said, winning games at this point does nothing to clarify the situation and can only cause potential confusion with Harris unless he and the owners already have their mind made up that he is gone.

The goal should be to develop howell and the younger players. Winning is not a priority for me. That is my opinion.
I simply can't see how a winning season and a playoff upset qualify Rivera to be our GM and head coach. We are below .500 yet again with over half of the season gone.

I still see a path to where Rivera pulls a rabbit out of his hat and convinces the owners that he is the guy. That would be a disaster and the last straw for me. We have a great fanbase, but I have my limits.

Pretty sure the commanders lose by double digits to seattle in seattle, effectively ending the hope of playoffs.

Playoffs by the way shluldnt matter in terms of retaining RR.

He’s had four years and is under .500 halfway through his fourth year with the twan.

We clearly have our QB. Imagine if he had an O-line that could protect him. We've GOT to promote EB, keep Howell and get a real GM. If we go line heavy in the draft, we can be a top team... I hope Harris doesn't fuck this up.e
eb has done nothing worthy a promotion for head coach would bring.he,s a good oc,but that,s all.

If you think he's shown us hes a good OC, then he's doing his job effectively. How is that NOT worthy of promotion? Hell, I'd promote him off of Howell's development and cracking the whip in training camp alone. Why would you mess with the offense, when its shown all it needs is a line? Howell would have to learn a whole new offense and there's no guarantee it will be as good.

He could be a good head coach, I don't doubt that.

As you know, the main problem with the team isn't the offense right now, it's the defense.

We are 19th in offense and 30th in defense. I would be curious to see how EB would address that.

My main concern is who is the GM? That is more important than the head coach right now. To your point, the oline must be addressed.

Who picks those new OLinemen? Who directs the strategy?

The GM needs to hire the coach. If it is EB, so be it. It might be him. I want the GM to make that call.

I dont know the candidates but I would make sure I chose somebody young from an innovative and very successful program.

Eagles, Chiefs, Niners, Ravens, Steelers are where I would start my search, followed by Bills, Dolphins, seahawks.

The top four are consistently good teams. The bottom three have also been consistently good, including the seahawks, who got rid of wilson and got better.

I would fire everybody and make all coaches interview for a position on staff.

EB’s positional interview could be nominal, of that’s what the head coach and gm want.

Honestly, I’m not sure Ron even wants to stay. He looks checked out to me.

This isn't your old Seahawks. The Ravens provided a schematic last week. It will be loud early at Lumen. If you can jump on them early and lower the energy level there you gain an advantage. This will be a 3pt game. I will be there in person to watch the game.
