based on his 1st 9 games he would be my starter .
I liked Sam coming out of college ... much like I liked a guy from Michigan State. I did not know if either would make it. One obviously did but it took time. I still like Sam and he has done some nice things. He is learning .... it will be interesting to see him against NE this weekend. Belichek has a great record against 1st year QBs.

I know nothing about Caleb Williams and would defer to breed when it comes to west coast QBs. Not too sure I like idea of another hometown guy. That hasn't worked so far. He is coming out of a Lincoln Riley offense .. that would scare me a bit.

I have not watched Drake Maye at all this year. There were some things I liked in his first two years.

Watched tape on Bo Nix the other night. Looked good but he was passing to guys who were open by at least 5 yards.

Michael Penix - I don't want anything to do with a guy with two ACL injuries and a shoulder injury.

I'd like to see the OLine get a lot better whether through the draft ... FA or both.

i would love a qb that elevates others , however those are rare , and geez after 9 games we are certain howell cant develop into that guy ? shit he has put up mahomes type numbers in his 1st 9 starts . so he takes sacks and he is a dick ? you put a good team around this kid and he will put up numbers and the team will win

i am willing to wait his contract out to see if he can be unless its obvious before then he is flash in the panning

qbs come out every year

now i dont know if harris will nuke everything , massive change can happen while keeping core players or maybe not we will see

Disagree.

Left tackle, qb, DT, #1 Wr are the building blocks of a franchise.

Keep Howell. Draft another qb in the first few rounds if you want, but you keep competent qbs around when you find them.
Especially when you don’t have a known replacement for Howell. Any one you draft is an unknown quantity. It’s a roll of the dice. let me just point you to RG3 and Haskins as recent examples of this. Howell is proving himself as an NFL starting caliber QB IN HIS FIRST YEAR with a terrible OL. He will most likely only get better. And we pay him next to nothing. Why in the world would you get rid of that? the truth is no one knows what his ceiling is. But we’ve most likely seen his floor. And it ain’t that bad. A good team can win with his floor.

Get your QB right and build out the lines. Then you can get cute with skill position players. This rebuild is going to take another 3-5 seasons.
Yes...yes..yes

Build inside out!

Who is "the building"?

Is it harris, the owners, and Chen? Or is it Rivera, his staff, and his GMs?

I could not care less what the current front office thinks. Why would we? They are on their way out.

Now if harris, Chen, and the owners think so, that is good news.
