I am an old man now, this is a day I thought I would never see. I often joked that I needed a bus to run Dan over.

Never say never but I just can't imagine the Harris group being worse than Dan. What a shit storm.

Many in the local media are saying "when did you know." Well I had experience with Dad before he bought the team .... for me the aha moment was when he fired Marty. If anyone remembers Marty said he would never work for Dan. After a slow start he finished 8-3 with a plain Jane QB.
Yes, the Marty fiasco was painful indeed.

I agree, in our society and culture today, Dan will be last the old time owners who could do as they pleased and hide everything. Social media and the new political climate will put an end to that stuff. Yes, owners will continue to make mistakes, but not on the same level of snyder. Just my opinion.

JP Finlay is reporting the vote could be done by 2pm EST. He's at the owners meetings in Minny. I've got 106.7 on my computer eagerly awaiting word :hope:

So signing Fitzpatrick in 2021 and needlessly trading for Wentz in 2022 was NOT stupid and was the answer? So drafting a QB in 2020 or 2021 was not the way to go to address the QB spot and signing QBs who are currently out of the league was the correct course of action? I am not trying to be difficult, I am simply trying to understand that if we don't have the cap space and the drafts are bad, then none of this is Rivera's fault and we are simply having bad luck? Was the plan or only option to build the rest of the team and wait a few years to get the QB? Seems like a very strange way to go about building a team in the modern NFL.

Rivera has had 4 offseasons to address the QB position and to this point, he still hasn't. We can continue to make excuses for him by saying we don't have the cap or that the drafts were bad. Some of that is true. The 2022 QB draft class was fairly poor. I disagree with Howell being the best QB in that class as I thought Pickett was.

If we don't have the cap room to address the most important position on the field (QB) and we are a QB away allegedly, do you mean to tell me the secret plan is Sam Howell? Interesting. If we can't afford to sign a QB free agent, then who was in charge of the cap? Rivera has been for the past 4 years.

Cosmi was at RT before he got hurt and Lucas had to step in to play RT. That is true. Cosmi has played tackle for most of his career (college and NFL). He was always a tackle at Texas. As such, he will be switching positions to Guard. Who knows how that will work?

Norwell was garbage, that is true. Paul might have played better in limited action, but it is not like he was a beast either.

We had very poor QB play, I agree with that. But we also had poor OLine play as well along with horrible game planning and play calling. Dean said the same thing last year in that we simply needed a QB to make it all click. He was wrong. I showed where every NFC East team either improved or stayed the same and it is widely agreed that we had the worse offseason out of all of the NFC East teams (minus getting rid of Snyder). You can say I am not being objective but I am being realistic. We still have the worst GM, coach, and QB in the division. That doesn't really scream contender in the NFC East. Maybe in the NFC South we could be a threat with the current team.

2021- We were picking 19. Trevor Lawrence was the only one worth drafting in round 1 as evidenced by Wilson, Lance, and Jones essentially not wanted by their teams. Perhaps we could have gone after Fields but what has he actually accomplished? He is a better runner than passer of the ball. We went with Fitzpatrick but he got hurt. Shit happens.

2022- Who would you have drafted here? We could have signed Pickett or Malik Willis. Somehow we were lucky enough to draft SH in round 5…no way he should have been available. Wentz was a mistake to trade for and have to take that albatross contract. If you can’t see what the hope was then you are not trying.

RR is a bad coach and his decisions while acting as a GM are equally bad. Just because things work out or do not work out does not mean you can evaluate the process. We are a QB away because we have some damn good players, particularly along the DL and at WR. It costs money to keep these players. Even if we could afford AR, I would have been against the move...let alone paying for Carr or JG. It is always a mistake to sell off your future in HOPES of winning now. It has worked one time in recent history and the next year the Rams were picking high but without the actual draft pick.

Players switch from T to G all the time, particularly from the college level. I am not saying it will work but he won’t be worse than what we had. As for Paul, players develop. I know it is a concept foreign to us as Redskin fans but this is what happens around the league. Not every player can be a first round pick, and sometimes it is the situation that creates a good player.

I have shown player for player why the other teams did not improve. The Eagles lost a ton of talent and the NYG are hoping for a TE resurgence to show promise from their offseason. Dallas had a good offseason. Turner is gone…EB is in. That is an improvement I forgot to mention. With good QB play last season, we would have been in the playoffs. Going from the worst QB play to good QB play is worth at least three games.

That is how I felt last year when I made the 11-win projection. I thought we would have gotten good QB play that would take us to the playoffs. I was wrong. CW didn't deliver. TH didn't deliver. IF the QB delivers, i agree with you that would be an improvement. IF you are saying and improvement of at least 3 games, are you saying we win 11 this year? We won 8 last year with bad QB play. This is assuming the defense is top 10 this year.

not the point. We are a winning team with good QB play. sure the interior oline has to be better but we are not that far away from being a winning team

If SH is a good QB, we have the potential to contend. With good QB play last year, we would have won at least 11 games.

This is a new season. We will win between 4 games and 14 games is my prediction. I could be wrong but I am very confident in that approximation.
