Bettman is going to be so mad at these guys for doing this during his totally not dragging on forever Stanley Cup Final.

Somebody should leak a report that the new arena plans have been scuttled and they're staying in the Saddledome for the next 20 years :D

LeBrun is saying that 2025 1st round pick is top 10 protected - Still, getting a 1st round pick and a tall defenseman for Marky is a pretty good return in my books.

Flames retained 30% of Marky's salary too.

I guess they were kinda hamstrung by the NMC but IMO that should've gotten them at least a second or third round pick.

Yeah, not great, but that chapter is closed and everybody can move on. It's Wolf time.

I think that was a good deal for the Flames. It is saving over 4 million the next two years and you get a 1st and a defensive asset.

His value wasn't high and saving over 4 million in cap space is good.

I've been pleased with Conroy's work so far, accumulating picks and young prospects, he needs to continue on this path.

Pretty stark when you see it like this:

That's some good work

I could be wrong, but I think Rasmus has pretty good value. If he's not moved at this year's draft, he could be a valuable piece at next year's trade deadline.
I can see Tre chasing him in the next week pretty hard if he thinks he might get priced out of the Lee's and Pesce's (ie: He can't move Mitch).
