I hope this signing means the plan is for Wolf to be up with the big club next season...

Looks like the Flames will be selecting either 8th or 9th in the upcoming draft. Should be able to get a pretty good player (although it's starting to look more and more like Tij Iginla might be selected prior to Conroy getting to the podium).

Worst we can pick is sixth.

Hoping our new GM has heard the name Iginla before.

Mackenzie Weegar with his 20th of the season tonight - That's a fine season for Mack.

Hunter Brzustewicz has had quite the season. He was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks last June in the third round, but his rights were traded to Calgary in a trade between the two teams at the NHL Trade Deadline.

Since then, he has signed his three year entry-level deal with the Calgary Flames, and now he is set to play his first professional games by ending the season with the Calgary Wranglers (AHL).

Wolf backstops the Wrangles into round 2 of the AHL playoffs...

He closed out his NHL campaign with four straight wins.

And now, Dustin Wolf’s got his sights set on the second round of the AHL playoffs, after helping the Wranglers score a two-game sweep in Arizona last week.

Twice named the AHL’s top goalie over his young professional career, Wolf returned to the Wranglers and put forward a scintillating effort over two games in Tucson, stopping 86 of 89 shots as Calgary earned 2-0 and 4-3 wins against the No. 2-seeded Roadrunners.

It was confirmed yesterday that the Flames and Marc Savard have mutually agreed to part ways. Look for Marc to land in Toronto re-uniting with Craig Berube.
