Just looked at this more, I wonder if their players were just like "Fuck, we've been playing our asses off and our GM doesn't make a single big move to help us out despite us having a shit ton of assets to do so and the rest of the league making trades like crazy?" and are playing out the string before actually demanding to be moved this time. You can argue Calgary had a more impactful deadline lol

If Atlanta wants another team just move these guys back. Can't be any more irrelevant.
